Did asians have to take ****tier public transportation and other public services? Did asian people have virtually been negated the basic rights that every other citizen in western societies have? Have asian people been shot like lambs just because they because the way they look? Fuc*ing NO!
Asian people, while not as much as the common white people, have always been priviledged when compared to the black community.

You can't compare! inverted racism doesn't fuc*ing exists, its just something that ****** people like you invented to feel a little better about themselves. Black people CAN'T' socially and politically opress white people you idiot.
You're talking about "institutionalized racism" that blacks had to suffer from before. What Devon Alexander just displayed isn't "institutionalized racism" but he was still being racist towards the Chinese.

Half of your posts are whining about mean whites but when it's Chinese immigrants you're suddenly a tough guy who hates political correctness and can't wait for open racial warfare to break out.... Yeah OK dork.

I agree that it is racism, its not opressive enough (or at all) to warrant a response like Golovkin suggested.

And its not an opression that they HAD or USED TO suffer, it is still pretty real and palpable.

If he was complaining about Chinese food restaurants giving people diabetes and health problems then I don't think I would speak well to open a bunch of soul food restaurants. Especially being that because of his profession he has to live a healthy lifestyle.

Black communities need healthy restaurants to eat. It is an adventure in itself finding anything that isn't greasy fast good garbage to eat in Black and Latino communities. The food desert crap really sucks, and just promotes more health problems among ********** who are probably stressed enough as it is just getting on with the daily grind.

I agree about what you said about Golvkin's comment about the pointy hats. Combating racism with more racism doesn't work. Two wrongs don't make a right.

That is not exactly true about Soul Food. Soul Food like just about any food can be prepared healthy. Lean meats, local procuring, natural or organic, more olive oil instead of vegetable oil and butter. Whether healthier preparation Soul Food restaurants could be profitable or not would be based on many variables but just about any food, including burgers can be made healthier. And food handling is a big part of the picture, and so is quan******. Some restaurants will have too large of portions which is a detriment. And then there is personal diet and making certain choices when waiting in a line. But healthy food and soul food are not automatically mutually exclusive. Just about any recipe can be altered for more healthy ingredients. Collard Greens, a staple of Soul Food are among THE best things on this planet that you can put into your body and have cancer-preventive agents. http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?t...****e&dbid=138. Add a little liquid smoke instead of bacon and some olive oil, a little lemon perhaps, and half the portion of butter to the recipe and steam instead of boil or fry and you have the perfect example. Lima beans, another Soul Food staple has huge health benefits and can lower heart-attack risks: http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?t...d****e&dbid=59. And I could go on and on about healthy preparations for Soul Food.

Horrible way of going about things, using something like all of them think alike and hate black people, smh.

This dude even went to China to fight and was saying nothing but nice things when he went there how they were friendly and nice to him, all of a sudden every chinamen is a racist who hates black people. This why I think his motive was to eliminate competition dude is not bright at all, using slander and racism and prejudice to try and get blacks to buy at your food place is wrong.
Chinamen is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian Americans, please.

Offer something to his community instead of just harboring resentment.

If he senses the need for economic justice in his town, how about taking some of the money he has earned and opening a small chain of soul food restaurants in his community. Hell, I wish someone would open some in my area. I was raised in East Oakland and there used to be more soul food restaurants than there are now. I live not far from there but I'd go anywhere for good soul food.

I will say this, I was always treated with way more respect at black-owned establishments, especially the Black ****** Bakery, than I have ever been treated at Chinese restaurants. Some of the wait staff at Chinese restaurants are downright rude and unaccommodating. I don't take it too personal because there is a sense of rush and lack of personal customer service at times and that may be more cultural than what I perceive as rudeness which does happen often in my experience.

Devon should have used the approach of establishing an urban presence with self-sustaining black-owned businesses and the message behind community building if he perceived such an issue with the Chinese restaurants. Perhaps he is jealous/envious of their success in his neighborhood, or he had a bad experience which is sounds like since some of those restaurants can have rude people or perceptibly rude people working there.

Simple cure - use his power and money to change things by improving his community with more dining options or other businesses. I think he had a bad experience or a legitimate perception that he took and snowballed into his own judgment and this clouded his opinions and from there he took his uncontrolled emotions to public. He should funnel his emotions into productivity and community involvement, rather than community depreciation.

True.....Racism is not based exclusively on Race. This is a common mistake some make. As most of us know....it is a catch-all phrase.
