Unless Floyd got the powerlock glove agreement in writing we may be seeing some new shhh come the 13th..that wbc ruling may end up allowing Maidana usage of his gloves. Considering the WBC is letting Floyd defend both division belts the same night them denying Maidana his gloves would look massively hypocritical. All they have to do is submit the gloves up to two days before the event and if they get approved jesus christ himself can't stop maidana from using them. This may turn into a nightmare come fight night or the week of.

Then Floyd slips some hush money to someone that just can't refuse ...... like fight #1 ........

Oscar, Sugar Ray, didn't pull a bait and switch, then justify it by saying, I am the a side.

Hagler isn't saying 20 years later, that Sugar Ray bait and switched gloves on me, and it affected the outcome of the fight.

When all else fails, blame it on being the a side. Lol

That was the difference between the two situations . . . Hagler knew before he signed the contract to fight Sugar Ray what brand of gloves he would have to wear for the fight and it was up to him whether to sign or not. Same thing with Floyd when he fought Oscar. They both went into those fights with their eyes open regarding the gloves issue.
Maidana knows where he stands now, but before the first fight Floyd used his "a side" power to bully Maidana into switching gloves on the night of the fight itself, which was completely wrong and without any precedance, so far as I'm aware.
