If Ward is in agreement with his promoter, then why isn't he fighting ANYBODY ? Why isn't he sending offers to ANYBODY ? Of course, GGG should have at least 50% if he fights Ward, as GGG is already a better draw. NOBODY wants to fight Ward, and not too many people want to pay for seeing him fight.

GGG was not going to get any of the PPV proceeds against Chavez Jr. He was getting a flat $2 million. Froch's team is not interested in a GGG fight because they thinks GGG is a noboby who brings nothing to the table. Therefore, he doesn't have the option of being the B-side of a Froch fight. Why is Dubin even talking?
Dubin, keep doing what you do best. Keep losing court cases, keep putting Andre in debt, keep filling his head with delusions of grandeur.
It seems like team Ward just doesn't get it.
If they think that GGG is going to move up to 168 to face Ward, in a non-PPV event, and still accept being the B-side in the matchup, they are absolutely delusional. That will NEVER happen. The sooner they accept that, the sooner the fight may take place. You have to give him incentive to move up. GGG is obviously B-side to Froch and Chavez, because those two fights include a PPV pay structure. The Ward fight does not.
What Wards team needs to do is focus on getting their fighter in the ring. Stop losing to Goossen. Stop filling his head with delusions of grandeur.Comment

That was a PPV fight... GGG, to my understanding, was also going to get a small percentage of the PPV buys (not totally sure about this), Chavez obviously getting a bigger percentage. Plus the residual effects of a PPV fight are huge. If he won (there is a strong chance he would have) he would've become a headliner in the future for more PPV events. Even if he lost he'd still be an attraction. It was a winnable fight that would have resulted in big future rewards.Everyone has an opinion and no one on this message board has any problem stating their opinion. However, lets take a look at the facts. The only indisputable fact in this debate is this:
1. Golovkin was willing to move up to 168 to fight Chavez Jr. for $2 million, while Chavez Jr. was scheduled to earn $7 million.
You can interpret this any way you want. What I see is that GGG was willing to move up to 168 to fight Chavez for less than one-third of the money Chavez was getting. However, he is demanding 50 percent for a fight with Ward. That tells me that the Golovkin team does not want to fight Ward.
With Ward he wont even get $1M. That's a non-PPV event, and HBO would probably put up like $1.5M. If HBO puts up $1.5M, and the fight is 50/50, he's getting like 750K against an opponent that's never put up big numbers or headlined a PPV, and one that is also very skilled. Team Ward has to give him an incentive to move up.Comment

Ok, let's say he was just going to get $2M flat. That's still way more than he would have gotten facing Ward. Plus you have to take into account the residual effects of a PPV fight.GGG was not going to get any of the PPV proceeds against Chavez Jr. He was getting a flat $2 million. Froch's team is not interested in a GGG fight because they thinks GGG is a noboby who brings nothing to the table. Therefore, he doesn't have the option of being the B-side of a Froch fight.Comment

What you're missing is that Chavez' promoter made him an offer, a very good one. Ward's people are saying B-side GGG should make an offer, which makes no sense like OnePunch explained.Everyone has an opinion and no one on this message board has any problem stating their opinion. However, lets take a look at the facts. The only indisputable fact in this debate is this:
1. Golovkin was willing to move up to 168 to fight Chavez Jr. for $2 million, while Chavez Jr. was scheduled to earn $7 million.

thats right it shouldn't be 50-50 theres NO WAY WARD SHOULD GET 50 it should be like 65-35 in favor of ward, ward cant draw flies to ****.Comment

this is true, ward always wants guys to move up to him, but will never move up? Theres no one for him to fight in his division so he needs to move up, yet he wont he wouldnt even give dawson a catchweight. If ward was to small to fight dawson at 175, why cant he move down and fight GGG at 160??? **** wardComment
