ward needs to stop this victim ****, you got guys like Rigo, where his promoter basically refused to put him on TV again and refused to match him up with any big names after he trashed donaire and cost arum money.
Yep. Being given a minimum of 2 million while being allowed to constantly stay in his hometown, even during the super six, is pretty dumb. Considering ward hasn't even fought 30 times while you get guys who fight more often for less. I hate to say it but I'm with goosen on this. Andre can't keep claiming he's a huge star when he doesn't sell as much but most importantly doesn't fight enough. After the super six the others have gone on to be more active while ward has fought two weight drained light heavyweights.

Can we just all agree he should just stop because he has no grounds to break away other than he doesn't want to be there anymore? His team is filled with idiots

If Goosen wins the next fight and gets the $10 million he will move to number 1 on my pound for pound list. He still has some work to do before I can put him above Floyd.

Haymon or someone has obviously tapped him up and he wants out as he thinks he can get more dollar elsewhere.

It's pretty funny that the judge thinks it's all above board though

It is not Haymon. It is that James Prince Guy. Ward used to be very likable. People clouded his head and he started changing.

Ward expects to be some giant star, and he believes his promoter has held him back from that status. Much of being a star depends on the personality and style of the fighter, and who they fight.

To be perfectly honest, much of it is also due to his division. Who you fight has everything to do with becoming a star also, but the Super Middle division was largely filled with European fighters, and most fickle American casual fans have no clue who the Froch, Kessler's and Abraham's are. He is also a home base fighter in Oakland and is determined to spend his career there.

This is not a world where you can sit back and expect fighters to run towards you if you are not a star. No popular fighter, will run to fight him when he expects them to make all the concessions and they know he will be a tough challenge. He sits around, groans once in a while about the Golovkin's etc, when they don't need him. Golovkin, like him, wants to lure in the big fish, and he is doing it by fighting often and trying to force it. Ward meanwhile sits around and thanks God.

It's unbelievable what he's getting and he still find it unsatisfactory

He truly believes that P4P#2 status should dictate his payroll. Some imaginary bull**** pundits created to build hype.

Floyd put in nearly 10 years at the top level making what he had to until his contract was up before making the money he does now, Ward thinks he should be getting that same type of pay now after a few big wins? It sucks that he's not happy and I'm sure Goosen might be ****ing him over in some way but play out the contract and take ur career to the next level when its done. Don't sit out during ur prime like a moron over this
