If he only lands a few of those fights he still makes millions of dollars..
Ward's contract with Goossen gives him a minimum of 1.75 mil per fight. Slave contract doe

"Ward demanded and received a $550,000 signing bonus plus a
dramatic improvement in his fees per bout, with a minimum of $1,750,000 plus pay-per-view percentages. In his first bout under the subject new agreement, Ward received and retained $1.750 million dollars and in his second bout under the new agreement Ward received and retained $1.9 million, for a total of$3.65 million"

Andre ward is still the "Son of Goosen" then. When is the next lawsuit going to be filed? Probably for violating the "September 11 act" or something.

Don't forget Goosen still has a defamation lawsuit against him, he could drop it, but I don't see it happening.

Smh. This is crazy, because the only network that will pay him this much is hbo.

The fact Goosen got that much for him when no one else would even think of paying him that much is insane, ward should be praising his promoter.

                  Damn!!!!

This doesn't bode well for Goossen or Ward ... On one hand, Ward is stuck in a contract that doesn't serve his needs or career plans. And on the other hand, other boxers are going to take note that Goossen isn't the best Promoter to hitch their wagon to -- Both are losing in this instance.

And for the complete morons mentioning GGG in the same sentence as Ward, you all are completely sub-pathetic roaches that shouldn't even be on a boxing forum.

I wish there were a test to pass on forums (Before you can join) to weed out the pure idiots, before they have any chance of infecting the others with their constant barrage of idiotic ramblings.

What a bunch of drivel all that written law ****e was. Could have been broken down into about two sentences, clearly articulated.

Anyway, Ward has got to get it into his thick head that he's just not the star he thinks he is. There's a point when your demands are outweighed by what you can bring in, or are worth. Clearly his demands are overstepping those boundaries.

He thinks moving promoters will help, but he's already fought the three biggest fights at 168 possible, Froch, Kessler and Dawson. The only two guys out there that would be as big as that would be Chavez and GGG, both of whom are with different promoters themselves so it doesn't guarantee anything anyway. I don't doubt that Goosen could get GGG or Froch into another fight, but it also comes down to whether those guys are even willing to fight Ward. Maybe they're not, so again, it's not down to Goosen who has shown he's willing to let Ward fight anyone, but down to Ward himself and whoever is willing to risk likely losing to fight him.

Goosen has done him really damn good. Considering he's getting 2 million bucks for fighting ****ing Edwin Rodriguez, which no one goddamn watched anyway he should be happy. He just thinks he's worth Floyd/Manny type dough, but it's really simple. He's not.

The funny thing is that no matter who he signs with, he's simply not going to ever get much more than what he's been getting under his new Goosen contract. He's already had big fights and getting around the 2 million mark....Out all of those bouts, very, very few would get him any more than that.

In fact I'm not really sure any would get him much more than that apart from maybe Froch 2 (which could happen under Goosen considering it already did once - it's more Froch not wanting that one I think and that won't change with a different promoter), Kessler, Chavez and Hopkins.

GGG won't bring more than 2 million for him. Dirrell won't. Stev, Kov and Degale won't.

Ward himself, plus Hopkins, both say they won't fight each other. That rules that one out.

So again, it comes back to Chavez, Froch II and Kessler II. Two of those can be made with Goosen, as they have already done it once. But, if you look at all the big 168 fights, no one is getting much more than 2 million anyway so what the **** is he on about! There just aren't that many fights, apart from Chavez, that will generate him more than that. However, if he'd been fighting as pert usual, he'd already have more money than he would if he sat out and waited.
