Good, hopefully Cotto vacates instead of holding the lineal belt hostage from what everybody recognizes as the true, legitimate champion of 160.

Cotto had the chance to fight canelo but decided to take the Martinez offer instead.

No way would GGG get the same money for fighting Ward as he would get for Chavez Jr.

In line....why not a motherfk'ing mandatory? Tired of the WBC and their bull****..in line? Cotto just got his belt by leap frogging 14 other contenders..Fk outta here.

You guys are funny, first you complains about Cotto not fighting GGG, then WBC puts GGG in a position to knock off the mandatory to Cotto's belt, a mandatory that Rubio won by arbitration, which is binding. If GGG wins he will then be Cotto's mandatory, and you guys are still combining. Can't win.

Either way Cotto will defend that title against Canelo next year before GGG gets the shot why? MONEY! And let's say Cotto wins and Mayweather decided he wants a belt in another weight class, do you really think GGG gets in the way of a Cotto-Mayweather rematch for the middleweight lineal title? No way. So Cotto is not vacating that belt anytime soon. And unlike many of you, I believe if Cotto has a good run he will fight GGG.

i would love to see this fight happen and the winner fight Canelo but i really doubt cotto wants that @$$ whooping for that kind of money when he can fight canelo and make twice as much $$$ and get his @$$ whooped aswell, nothing against cotto i see him vacating before he fights GGG!

What the sanctioning bodies say doesn't even matter because at the end of the day Cotto's going to pick who he wants to fight anyway.

All I see coming out of this is Murray finally fighting GGG because Berman is hardcore jocking the #1 WBC spot and it'll be the winner of this "unification"
As funny as it may sound, WBC does have two champions at 160 -- Cotto and Rubio (with Rubio mysteriously promoted from the interim status).
