Uh think you have it wrong. Margarito had to sue Bob Arum in order to fight Paul Williams. Arum didn't want Margarito fighting Wilams because he was trying to set up the Cotto fight.

If I'm not mistaken. Williams was Marg's former sparring partner. He became Marg's WBO mandatory, and had to sue to get Marg's to fulfill that mandatory. I could be wrong though. Not ashamed to admit that I'm not much of a back story guy.
