I'm more interested in Garcia moving up than him fighting Peterson.

Peterson fight does nothing for me. Maybe if he didn't lose to Khan and Matthyse..and why don't people want Peterson to avenge those losses?

Some of these " fans " still calling Garcia a coward

This has been going on since Tyson v Mcneely- networks realized you get ratings based on the "star" not the "quality of fight". So if Floyd, many, danny, GGG, kov etc are proven to get ratings, they will get prime slots, regardless of who they fight.

Meanwhile, quality fights more often than not, don't get the prime slots, especially if a quality fight risks the star losing because the network sees it as a risk to future ratings. Danny/Salak is not just no risk for Danny, its no risk for Sho. Kov/Cap is no risk for HBO.

      Get my point?
Ok, now I see where are you headed to, yeah basically works kinda like that, but honestly as a Boxing Fan sucks, don't you think so?

The sport of boxing has a serious business side to it. Plus the long term brain damage factor. The sport is high risk. You fans need to quit crying and get your asses in the ring.

Swift defended his WBC belt versus Khan and took Khan's WBA belt and won the Ring belt all in the same fight with a 4th round KO, also defended his WBC belt versus Judah, Matthysse, and Herrera (the present interim WBA champ).....Swift's opponents are still relevant in the game and that alone says a lot about the level of competition he's faced
Garcia looked worst against Herrera. Old war torn Morales who had to used anabolic steroids. "Still relevant in the game" LOL.

Dude you ****** for a fact, Trout it no walk in the park nor is Lara. Cotto lost to Trout remember that fight and Cotto would have had trouble with a guy like Lara no doubt about that.

na u dumb for the fact that you don't understand my main point, it's like you need a translator to translate intelligence to lack of thereof, canelo has never looked great against good fighters, he only looked great against the sorry ass fighters he fought at the beginning of his career like ryan rhodes, alfonso gomez, cotto's brother, josesito lopez, etc......... danny has fought great against great opposition that's all there is to it, he knocked out khan in 4, knocked down matthysse and won decisively and beat everyone else, had a bad night with herrera but even swift's performance versus herrera, which was his worst fight, was a lot better than canelo's performance versus lara who was punching air, elbows, and ropes

TV Network decides to put on a show, let's say to get easy understanding here, they put on a boxing show. They present the estimated final product to the Sponsors, Sponsors are paying to TV Network that specific portion of the show to display their propaganda. Sponsors ask the "Boxing Show Head Director of that TV Network" how much people are expected to view that show. TV Network goes to the analysts and the specific people who are gonna give 2 estimate numbers, one the lower limit of that estimate and the other the upper, it's like an equation.

TV Networks are expected to deliver to the sponsor the magic number between those 2, if TV Network doesn't get to the minium they are on a negative balance, and they gotta pay a fee to the sponsor, if that kind of behavior talking about statistics keeps going on and on, Sponsor will not pay more to help that show. Of course by logic you know what will happen if that magic number surpasses the upper limit. Everyone will be happy.

So what happens here? first and foremost, TV will never get short on sponsors, there will be always one sponsor, the problem here is that when you start leaning to low budget and small enterprises, you will get less money than if you are sponsored by let's say a "Beer Worldwide Company", that culminates on lower numbers wich equals to = Low ranked boxers who doesn't expect to get paid more than $20,000 = Poor Boxing Shows.

So the "Disasterous thing here folks" is that Garcia vs Salka wasn't expected to be a high rated show, but what happened? an estimated of 800,000 - 850,000 view that show.

Now what does this mean to the people involved here? It means that after the show Haymon, Showtime and a LOF OF PEOPLE, were laughing at us thinking "Damn the balance here is so positive, let's keep them feed with these mismatches, they will still watch and we'll make MONEY..........

PD: That was just a grain of salt on the equatin, I didn't talk about how the whole staff build and delivers all this together, neither did I talk about a lot of specific people involved.

You see what's my point here?
I think the people that tuned in to see that fight are the same ghouls that drive real slow by an accident hoping to see dead bodies
