Allot of Hattons fans were pissed up football hooligans, who didn't particularly go looking for a fight in boxing arena's as generally people who are interested in the sport and who actually attend the fights have a chance of some background in boxing. That still doesn't explain how Khan has a better resume. You've named one win as being better than any Hatton win which is extremely debatable. Kostya Tszyu was the lineal champion and far better than Marcos Maidana for starters.

When I look at Hatton's resume it just looks very weak. Maybe it was an overstatement to say Khans resume is better right now. However, when Khan hangs up his gloves his resume could be streaks above Hattons.
