No, Hatton appealed to the UK fanbase because a lot of them saw themeselves in Ricky. He was a crude dude that like to drink and endulge between fights and was a brawler.
Khan does not have that type of passionate fanbases. The UK fight fans will root for their countrymen but it won't be anywhere near Hatton level of fandom. That weigh in and 24/7 was the best ever still hasn't been topped.

i was a bigger hatton fan then khan fan...im not even a khan fan i think he is a good boxer (at times) and thats about it there is nothing to really be a fan of his for...

bruno had a big following also.......but khans following is low considering he is a former would champion....and active fighter...

He probably will. English fans might be the most loyal devoted fans in boxing. The fighter doesn't have to be very good. He just has to be fighting for a title and be from the UK. When you read a poster on here saying how good Khan is that poster is usually from the UK. I think Brook will get the same support and he is better than Khan. Most non UK boxing fans don't think Khan is very good and think he has a glass jaw it least it seems that way.
