If Khan fights Mayweather will he have a Hatton type following?

Hatton had a huge following and when he fought Mayweather there were tons of fans from the UK who came over. Do you guys think Khan will have the same type of support if he gets the Mayweather fight?

    No.

Ricky had a far higher casual following. He attracted the football crowd particularly.

Khan would still have tremendous Brit support however.

He'll have roughly......3% of that support.

Honestly, even if they fought in thhe UK Mayweather would be the fan favourite.

Like the poster above said hatton had a more football crowd following. Amir would have a contingent for sure but I don't think they would be as annoying as hatton's supporters could be, and I use the word supporter and not fan because they didn't know much about boxing and some made judgements without even watching pacquiao or mayweather.

Yup, after being KO'd by Floyd.

Hatton had as big of a following and mainstream appeal as a British Boxer has ever had.

Hatton did more than Khan has done, losing to Mayweather won't make a difference.
