khan is looked at as a c)cky guy who does not even care about the uk enough to fight here anymore

Yep, this. Especially the "proppa British" part lol. I wonder what kell's following will end up like in the near future.

Kell already has a good following.

If he beats a Marquez or Khan in a mega event, he will be extremely popular.

I'd really like a Marquez fight. It's a bit risky for kell though. I'd say a Marquez win would be worth more than a khan win. And as kell said "get in line amir."

            That is very debatable.

Khan's beat better names than hatton has.

No, Hatton appealed to the UK fanbase because a lot of them saw themeselves in Ricky. He was a crude dude that like to drink and endulge between fights and was a brawler.
Khan does not have that type of passionate fanbases. The UK fight fans will root for their countrymen but it won't be anywhere near Hatton level of fandom. That weigh in and 24/7 was the best ever still hasn't been topped.

I doubt anyone will have Hatton's fanbase

Khan will get a good following though. A lot of people do dislike him but he still won an Olympic medal for the country at 17 and does so much for charity.

hatton's outside ring antics is what made him attractive which also ended his career short

khan, brook, no british boxer will have that popularity, it was a one off

I can't see Khan equaling the amount of support that Hatton got for that fight..that was something to see.

When I saw Khan fight here in LA he did have a fair number of Pakistani fans who brought flag to the fight. Not a huge contingent as the venue wasn't even that big (nor was it sold out)..but he might be able to draw from a different US group as Hatton which is a plus. That still wouldn't be enough obviousl, so he'd also need to draw from US-based Hatton fans o those who will also support any Brit regardless...remind them how fun it was last time a countrymen got the shot at Floyd.

boxing fans of all backgrounds know Khan is up and down so IDK if the fervor would be there. I've come around on it.

also the fight won't be like hatton that because it's not two undefeated fighters, it's not white v black, lw v WW. That fight had a lot going on
