Nobody wants to get in the ring with him, its that simple.

He fought a top 5 MW that night. Golovkin and his team do not handpick opponents. So what you said about Roach being right can't be true.

He fought the best available opponent that night. That's not handpicking.

On top of that, he sold 8500 tickets.... that's solid. And the fact that the show was in the summer had a lot to do with the ratings. So, he's not that unpopular anyway.
He didn't sell 8500 tickets, that was the announced attendance. He sold about 6k. His promoter ran an article on Boxing Scene during fight week stating that the fight was gonna be the highest rated HBO event this year. It turned out to be the lowest rated. That was probably embarrasing.

But it doesn't change his ability and skills. He's one of the best in the sport. My point is popularity doesn't mean anything. The proof is in the pudding. The proof is in the skills.

Sorry for the neg. I get really upset when I feel my hero is being disrespected.

        YET

When asked about GGG-Cotto, in that same video..... he says Golovkin brings nothing to the table.

There's nothing contradictory or problematic about this. All those statements are true.

Yeah.. But apparently he still have to say what's known because the fans here so not understand. Roach is just a honest guy, he even craps on Pacquiao. He admit Pacquaio using shady substances and pulling out of the Mayweather to fight back in 2009. I'm just saying Roach always deflate the hype without much care what it may do to his own personal benefit or not.

Doesn't matter who Manny fought, it's about Roach.

I've mentioned it several times, never brushed it off.
