This is a dumb post. Roach was being complimentary to his friend, Shane, seeing as they were going with the Cotto fight because it had more money. Pacquiao fought Shane 2 fights later and had him running scared. Besides, Roach doesnt "duck" or "handpick" anyone, he's a trainer not a fighter anymore.

He fought a top 5 MW that night. Golovkin and his team do not handpick opponents. So what you said about Roach being right can't be true.

On top of that, he sold 8500 tickets.... that's solid. And the fact that the show was in the summer had a lot to do with the ratings. So, he's not that unpopular anyway.
