I think GGG should stay at 160, he's gonna lose once he moves up.

Is this a Floyd thread then Larry, it's starting to sound like it.

When Golovkin / Sanchez mentioned FMJ, everyone kinda went, meh... never gonna happen and anyway kinda pointless (well - there may have been a few *******s was saw it different). But y'know what, some FMJ fans just won't leave it alone.

Golovkin doesn't have to move up, and Floyd was never asked to move up to 160 to fight him - any realistic suggestions were always for Golovkin to move to fight the 154 kingpin at the weight where he holds his titles.

But you seem to be saying that it's OK for Floyd to fight Cotto for the 160 title, but Floyd shouldn't fight Golovkin at 154 for the JMW title... you don't kinda see anything wrong in this scenario?

If he is, then he should be able to accomplish at least what Ezzard Charles already did.
He's not a great boxer, but he's a great power puncher. So if you you sit and trade with him, he's usually gonna get the better of it.

People ask him to fight GGG at 160 and you get all up in arms; start talking about 24 lbs, 38 years old, etc.... Yeah, that's scary.

I already named 2 people in Micky Walker and Sam Langford that did that and more. If Floyd is TBE in your book, he can't hold a candle to Langford and Mickey Walker.

They went up close to 50 lbs or more throughout their careers. I ask Floyd to go up 30 and you're talking about divisions, P4P and age, etc...

          Yeah, that's scary.

Sam Langford who started at Lightweight and stood no more than 5'7 fought Jack Johnson for the heavyweight title and then was seemlessly ducked by Johnson for the rest of his career. Johnson simply refused to fight him again although he gave up close to, IDK 30-40 pounds.

Sam Langford can fight Jack Johnson for the heavyweight title, but it's too much to ask Larry if he thinks it's ok for Floyd to fight GGG for the MW title?

              But Floyd is TBE?

If he went to 160 it would be for the lineal title...not some abc title man

Ok, in other words, he's going to 160 for only Cotto, but everyone else has been making excuses, right?

The guys I named fought countless fights at 160 and above against guys better than GGG and were the same size as Floyd if not smaller.

Just admit it, you're more scared for Floyd than Floyd himself.

Lol there it is. Which would you say you're more terrified of? Cotto losing before Floyd gets a chance to cherry pick a lineal MW title from someone he's already decisively beaten, or Floyd facing Golovkin?
