Jeff is right. If Floyd was truly a 154 lb fighter he'd fight there regularly. Look at which weight he's Maidana. That's right. It's at 147 - Floyd's natural weight class. I mean, sure, Floyd can say he's fought the best at 154 but that doesn't mean he has to fight true middleweights like Golovkin. The fight doesn't make sense anyway. If Floyd wins people will say he drained the **** out of Golovkin. If GGG wins people will say he picks on small dudes and beat a past prime Floyd who's nearly 40 yrs old. Neither guy would get proper credit.

It doesn't hurt to ask for a big payday. I don't blame Golovkin. But the guys he should be focusing on are: Quillin, Murray, Chavez Jr, and maybe Froch and Ward down the line somewhere. Let Floyd focus on guys at 147 and possibly a rematch with Canelo at some point.

Mofo's without Floyd's or Ward's balls in their proverbial mouths might actually pay attention to details and at WHO TURNED DOWN WHAT! Sorry but people will ignore FACTS for their own agenda's. The fight got offered to Ward by the network, he said it ain't enough money. That's fine, I have nooooo problem with that, he can say no to anything he wants and I have no issue with it. All I ask is that people put all the facts on the table and stop being outright groupies. If ward and ggg fought my money is on Ward. If Floyd fought Golovkin my money is on Golovkin. It's basically that simple for me. Ward vs GGG has already been turned down. This topic wasn't about Ward..it's a Floyd topic but imbeciles want to turn this into a ward thread.

If you force someone to drop to 152 that's to sap the power of your opponent this nullifies your the best 154 pounder thats like Canelo telling Floyd fight is at 157 pounds for the 154 pound title which would be a different fight than the one at 152

And I've never said he ducks fighters in general (he and Pac to blame). Never said he runs in the ring like some do. He was the one walking down and standing in front of Canelo and when he wasn't doing that, he sure as hell was not running, he was circling and positioning. Outside the ring I think he could be a better person but he is one of the most skilled fighters ever. But then you get guys who say he is ducking Middleweights which is BS because he is not a middleweight. I just hope he never asks for another catchweight and YES I am on record as saying if Pac ever asks for a catchweight, I will not support Pac, ever again. I've turned against some fighters I liked, and became fans of some fighters I didn't.
I'm familiar with you like I said. I don't like catchweights. But they don't bother me as much as they bother you. And I'm not as passionate about disliking them as you. To me, the current weight divisions and day before weigh-ins are such a joke. I personally don't even care what it says on the fight marquee. To me, two guys in the ring weighing 160lbs+ is a middleweight fight. Just because it says "Welterweight Fight" on the poster doesn't make a difference to me. Floyd is one of the few guys fighting in his natural division. And generally at a weight disadvantage in his "welterweight" fights. So him not wanting to fight guys that probably would have been light heavyweights in the era of eight divisions and same day weigh-ins doesn't bother me.

Floyd schooled canelo but "better than ever" is still dumb as ****. Floyd is great but hes not what he used to be
