I am so confused by this board. When was the last time Rubio has fought anyone of note? Well has beaten anyone of note.

which is more important to posters-the division have a unified champion or seeing GGG unify the division?
I really like GGG but you are absolutely right. We all should appreciate more the sport itself and be less fanatic regarding individual fighters, especially those "fans" who base their opinions on a fighters nationality or race.. about this fight, respect to GGG for staying active and to Rubio for taking the fight. Rubio is a tough guy and he´ll come to fight.

I don't know how a guy that is likely going to get knocked out in less than 6 rounds is a good opponent.

What is Rubio's best win outside of knocking out a rather green Lemiux that says yea this guy can really hang at the top end. Rubio is a gatekeeper, and a gatekeeper is not a very good for an opponent that is way past that gate.

I could see how the words acceptable or decent could apply given Rubio is constantly a guy on the fringes of contention but good is being very generous in describing this match-up when most normally are not nearly so generous.

But a Cotto/Rubio fight is trash. Bunch of crybabies on here.

How many years has it been since Pavlik made Rubio cry and quit in his corner?

decent fight, this is about as good as GGG can do with eveyone ducking him. Fight the best available who will actually fight him and fight often

It's Cotto we're talking about. You know how his career works. He beats injured guys at the end of their careers, rides his nationalistic fan fervor about "fight anyone big balls Cotto the warrior" into a big money fight, loses it badly. Repeat.

Rubio is a live opponent who doesn't offer a 20 mil paycheck so he isn't in the cards.

The truth you do not give. Lol...

Please look as Cotto's Career a little better. You Bafoon
