It depends for me. If Hopkins promised to retire after this fight, I want him to win in a last moment of glory. If not, I want Kovalev to win. I would rather see Hopkins take a quick hard loss and retire, than to keep fighting well past where he should be.

Freak of nature or not, being in this sport at his age is not a good thing for his health. I would rather him get out. I don't know if I could watch him get beat badly, in fact it bothers me to think about it. Deep down though I know it is probably what he needs.

Kovalev will come out of this fine with a win or loss. he will still have a great career. Hopkins has already had a legendary one and has nothing else to prove.

Hopkins. The poll is pretty much dead-even.

I like Kovalev, but I wanna see how far can Hopkins push it. Doing ring-walks on a walker to mesmerize some fool when he is 80

I am not a big B-Hop fan at all but here is what I believe are some of the reasons

            1) He's crafty as hell. Part of it he knows he's fouling and does the old aw shucks that happened oops with a wink and a nod.
            2) He's old as hell and has no qualms going against killers. This wasn't particularly true in the prime of his middleweight reign where he fought plenty of blown up welters.
            3) He's controversial. He can basically say anything and get away with it.
            Some people really like that.
            4) No question he's got a beard. As slick and huggy as he is, the man can flat out take a shot.
            5) He's always in shape. You never see a fat or unmotivated Hopkins. EVER.

I am not a fan but I do understand why people like him.

              Hopkins all day for me...

But I'm getting butterflies in my stomach. Killer Kov is a monster in the ring. I don't like this fight at all for Hopkins. But that's why he's the greatest of this gen. Let's get it

I am genuinely surprised at how many Kovalev "fans" or supporters there are... Or is it Bhop "haters" ???

As a veteran myself I am hoping Hopkins can pull this off.

But I kind of warm to Kovalev - he seems like a decent, humble guy who deserves a shot.

Overall I just want to see an exciting fight, aside from the fact that Bhop is still a Champ at nearly 50 years old there is little else to admire.

His spoiling tactics and personality are not something that excite me or interest me.

Should be an interesting night - Russia VS USA for a World Heavyweight title!

Why does it surprise you that Kovalev has fans?

He's one of the two or three most exciting fighters in the sport of boxing.
