firstly we are talking about rankings, not fantasy match ups, where may i add froch was 115-113 on two yank score cards.

But more importantly its irrelevant how he looks, wards looks horrible with his clinching, excessive holding and head butting.

Plus froch has a better resume than ward imo at super middle if you are currently comparing careers.

But the most important point is that ward is not fighting, you cant be ranked number 1 without defending your throne...

First off you can have a decent belt made for about 2,500.00!
In the last 15 years when do rankings mean a thing?
Do you get a title shot off rankings?
How do all these midget welters get title shots with one or two fights at welter?
Rankings are meaningless with all these federations lurking everywhere!

Froch has a long jab alright that comes back LOW 85% of the time. A well schooled fighters gets to him with combos off that LOW return!!
It's called "rowing the jab" and you pay for that if your in with quality guys.
Kessler, Bute and Groves are "quality competition"? Really" Their current but where are the skills the techniques? Their average ordinary skill level guys who happen to be contenders because that's all that's out there right now. Why aren't these guys stepping into 175? They're big enough! Let see them fight Kolav or Stevenson they'll make a decent pay. Imagine Stevenson in Germany fighting Bute? I think that's a winner for both guys.
