Last. Poor Froch fans. Unfortunately rankings are determined in the ring. Not from making more money, having a hot wife and filling up arenas. Maybe boxing can one day be more like WWE. One can only hope.
If those were the criteria, then Ward would hardly be a top 10
Except that's not true. Kessler had injuries dating back to before the Calzaghe fight. Those injuries you are talking about, was an eye-injury - that coincidentally happened vs Ward and was in fact bothering him against Froch in their first fight too, with a lot of unhealed scar tissue - so that's not true either.
It came from 4-5 "accidental" headbutts that made Kessler's face look like this:
Mind you, none of these were caused by punches.
Kessler had double vision for that fight.
He also had a conflict with his former trainer Richard Olsen, whom let go after the Ward fight because nothing was right in the build up.
Then there was the almost full hour delay, the headbutts, the clinching etc. A lot of other things that you obviously don't know about or choose to dismiss.
I wouldn't exactly say Kessler beat Froch convincingly, but he did beat him.
Everyone who knows Kessler, knows he'd tell the truth instantly. He's by far the most honest guy i've ever met in boxing. By far.
It's true that Kessler rematched Froch over 3 years after their first fight rather than the disingenuously mentioned 1 to 2 years, and it seems true that he was struggling with injuries that didn't plague him against Ward to the same extent that they did after the bout. If the later is incorrect, why did he withdraw from the Super Six tournament citing injury after beating Froch rather than after losing to Ward? As for Kessler's return to the ring, I think his legs have generally looked significantly worse, he's been dropped by a level of opponent that never had him down before, and he hasn't fought in over a year and has nothing on schedule, which doesn't seem characteristic of someone who entered their last bout with a lot left. Despite this, I thought he was still significantly more competitive with Froch in their rematch than he was against Ward.
As for his face, some of those were caused by butts but you have no way of proving that they all were. Ward was hitting him regularly and the bruising on his face is a common result of being punched.
Loads of fighters have excuses and many fighters have things go wrong in training and behind the scenes. Personal problems, issues with ones' team, and other setbacks are fairly common and often strikes both fighters, with many issues probably not becoming public. You may know Kessler and believe he's genuine, but I'm sure there are people like you associated with virtually every boxer that has made an excuse.
What are you a ***ing detective? Evidence? If i wanted to be further educated i wouldn't come to you 'bro' i'd do what i'm doing now and starting to compete in bouts, i'll learn more doing that than reading your one sided opinions .
You're blinded by ignorance/don't like hearing the other side of the coin so's to speak, "if it's not NE's idea/suits his ideologies it's a bad/incorrect statement". Proof? Well re-read our exchange, thats proof for everyone to see.
So there's really no point in pursuing the matter really is there, i'm happy to agree to disagree on this one. I don't care for the pettiness NSB provides (i never took notice in the few years i've been here but today has taught me you're cut from that cloth too). Which i didn't think you where, i was under the impression you where one of 'the normal one's'.
Someone disputes/replies/expresses their opinion on a matter you're discussing and you don't like it you're shook, and BOOM you're allover the keyboard like a coked up energizer bunny. Do you want a cape to go with your superiority complex?
Serious stumpy, i don't care anymore, you stay in Ward Land and i'll remain open to both sides of an argument. I've already said Ward is more skilled and does amazing things, just not enough, as a fan i want to see more of him if anything. I don't know what you're malfunction is unless you are indeed a fruitcake.
Years here/post count does not buy you 'my view is more valid than yours' points you know.... Funny i got 4 greens for my last reply to you, i must be getting something right.... Again, g'day OldAmerica. X
Edit: oooh 5th green for that post, only two limeys, seems a fair few don't like your attitude. Use some of that money you have, and enroll yourself in charm school or whatever....
Anyway, buried 6 foot under, done, this bores me.
again, there's literally no discussion of boxing being done in your posts. it's just rambling.
Current 168lbs Champions
Ring: Andre Ward
WBA: Andre Ward
WBC: Sakio Bika
WBO: Arthur Abraham
IBF: Carl Froch
Andre Ward has defeated all of these other "champions" lopsidedly. Try to twist the facts around however you like if it pleases you, but there is no discussion. Ward has been, still is, and will continue to be the champion at 168.
Froch is relevant whereas Ward isn't...
If Ward was still number 1 of the SMW why did he slip down in P4P rankings?
You don't slip down in P4P rankings for no reason, just saying.

it was an ugly fight, but bika landed very few clean punches. ward landed a ton of clean punches. he had very few answers for ward on the outside. most of his work was done inside, and with a free hand. bika is a strong guy, and those punches do score and have an effect, but that doesn't mean he was making ward "struggle."
it's only a brit who says that ward struggled with bika. maybe you'll find an american citizen who is simply a ward hater, but i've got no love for treasonous loyalists.
