Then that's how people should have acted when Kovalev KO'd him. Instead, he was part of a 4 fight run that got him votes for fighter of the year.

      • Don George KO's Cornelius White in the first round, it's "meh"

Kovalev KO's Cornelius White in the 3rd round and people don't know what they're witnessing...

Lol Actually this post is a bit much, but on a serious note, Rodriguez is getting extremely underrated by many while Groves is being very overrated for his wars with Froch. All in all, they're the same calibre of fighter except Rodriguez just has the better resume.

froch will not "fight anybody." he is ducking golovkin and ward. he has said so himself. i don't blame him. ward whitewashes him worst than the first fight, and golovkin ends his freaking career. golovkin might even end his life. this is boxing. you can die in there.

brits rail the prince for not going to 175, yet froch recieves zero heat for it. he's praised for fighting fringe contenders at best, while ward is crucified for the same tier of fighter.

andre ward has no fanboys. we're just a loosely assembled crew of boxing afficionados who know a great boxer when we see one. we're scrappy underdogs. a dog loves a bone. there's nothing i can do to make me stop loving great fighters.

          carl froch is very good
          andre ward is great.

there's a huge difference between the two.
Poor intuition with regards to the bold NE. You know your stuff, you don't know everything/everyone, having a personal philosophy is like having a pet marmoset, because it may be very attractive when you acquire it, but there may be situations when it will not come in handy/endear one at all.

And i actually agree Ward is the better boxer, i said he does things in the ring that amaze me. He is 'special' we just don't get to see enough of it.
I was just calling it how i see it, whats wrong with transparency? I admitted i voted Froch cos' of course i'm going to be biased i'm a Limey.

I don't deny Wards abilities and issues he's having promotional-wise, he can't help his situation to a degree (with regards to opponent level/activity over the last few years). But i also don't deny whom Froch has fought in the last few years and activity levels.

It's a two way street NE. One's fighting more and better opposition and one isn't currently, it's how it is, quite simple. Again i'm not 'against Ward' either.

I hear red wine calms the nerves and helps thin the blood. Golovkin? Last i checked this thread is about Froch and Ward, mis-direction bringing other names into it is another problem here. But we can talk GGG, who's ducking him ward or froch? Who's most likely not to fight him based on each fighters history? The brit v us mentality, again. Getting old and sad.

Like a hamster on a wheel at times, and i like you.
Again the bold, gravely mistaken. Just because i hardly hit up NSB (because its a mess on the whole). You assume i know nothing about the sport?

Jumping to conclusions can be a bad exercise, ignorance can often be obtained by doing that, ignorance, the state or fact of being ignorant; lack of knowledge, learning, information, etc. That's just the vibe i'm getting with regards to the 1st sentence of that post.

They're both legends in their own rights....G'day. X

I don't think it had much to do with Silahk. More the collective destruction of the 4 opponents

Don George was KOd in one round by a guy Groves toyed with and a fight he took on 5 days notice away from home.

Please forgive us if we're not jumping up and down in awe of Don George.

                Huh?

Francisco Sierra beat Don George by a Technical Decision in the 7th round. The only KO'ing in the first round was Rodriguez stopping Grachev.

                • The Groves fans are funny. The man has proven absolutely nothing in his pro career besides a penchant to gas and get knocked out. You have no idea how a fight between him and Rodriguez would play out. Boxing Scene is the same forum that claimed Broner was cherry picking Maidana and Martinez would knock out Cotto. There are 10 fights every year that go absolutely against the grain. Seeing you guys state some of these things like its pure fact is funny. Nobody knows how Groves Rodriguez would play out. They are two evenly matched fighters.

                  • Let's face it, who's Andre Ward gonna fight when he finally (if ever) comes back?

                    Dirrell - no, they're friends
Chavez Jr. - will probably face Froch
Kessler - won't travel to Europe
                    DeGale - see above
                    Froch - already beat 'em
                    Bika - already beat 'em
                    Stieglitz - who? some Eurobum?
Hopkins, Kovalev, Stevenson - they fight at LHW, why even make such absurd suggestion?

Froch on the other hand, will be facing Chavez Jr. He likely beats him and then faces James DeGale.
