The Money Mayweather persona, flashyness, and trash talking Floyd came about when he knew he had to bait other fighters in the ring and sell tickets outside the ring because his performances inside the ring weren't gonna put people in seats. I remember when Floyd was a low reward high risk and no one wanted to fight him.
Point being, Floyd turned on this whole "bad guy" image. No one knew he had it in him 'til he started. He sure wasnt acting like that with Arum.
Not saying Ward has to go that route, but you never know what someone has in their bag of tricks.
Ward is destined to be like Hagler-a guy people will respect but not necessarily a guy that will have the cross over popularity/appeal like Floyd, odh, srl.

Just because some people don't think Ward isn't worth much because his lack of excitement doesn't mean he's not a diamond in the ruff with the right marketing.
But if Goosen was wrong in not disclosing to Ward the correct amounts that he should've gotten paid, Ward has every right to file a lawsuit.
But his inactivity is definitely damaging his career.

Most fighters don't take financial control over their careers until it's too late (i.e. Tyson, Jones, Holmes, etc.)
he signed a contract...
i'm not speculating on the allegations that goossen is violating the ali act, only chastising ward for signing such a lengthy contract.
it's obvious what's going on here. 2 million is about as much money as ward is going to make on a single fight without ppv. he wants ppv. he wants a fight with a champion at 175, either hopkins, kovalev, or stevenson, to be on ppv. he wants a golovkin fight to be on ppv.
goossen can't promote a big ppv fight, at least i don't think he can. he doesn't have htat kind of muscle. goossen has done a pretty decent job with ward so far. he's gotten him on network TV, and turned him into one of their most popular and well paid fighters. he just hasn't gotten ward, and likely doesn't have the potential, to PPV.

Goosen should just let Ward buy out the contract. I don't know what the big deal is, It appears Ward doesn't want to work with him anymore, Goosen doesnt seem to be in a rush to get him fights. The whole situation is ret@rded.
the way this is playing out nobody wins. Ward wasting time in his prime and Goosen not making any $ off Ward.
