But this lawsuit is for the Ali act violation, not for extortion. I know Ward doesn't like him cause Goosen doesn't want to work with Ward's friend.

I don't like boxers getting ripped off (if that is the case, which we are not sure) but spending time and money in the courtroom probably is not the solution for Ward. If he signed an extension, just honor it and stay active. He might think he is being principled but he is losing out on a lot of money, even if he wins this lawsuit.

I am all for fighters to take control of their finances, and their promoting. Movie stars and musicians do it all the time, but usually they work through to the end of the contract
then go their own way. How long was the contract? How much longer does it run?

Goosen can't get Ward PPV's? Maybe that's the market talking. There are only a couple PPV fights I'd pay to see Ward box....GGG for sure, maybe Chavez Jr, definitely Kovalev.
Otherwise, making $2 mill/fight while working out the timing of the contract wouldn't be a bad thing. Beats doing HBO commentary for peanuts.

All this wasting time Ward is doing whining about his purses and spending money on lawyers he could have had 2-3 fights and earned another 3 mil plus in the bank easy while building his brand and name. That's all he would get for the biggest fight he could make right now anyway. He just doesn't get it he is not a 10-15 million dollar attraction let alone 5 million! Just honor the contract and fight and see where the chips fall in a few years...

Goossen is in a tough situation, how do you promote a guy who refuses to fight anyone? I think his lawyers should focus on that point

On the plus side, that's 3 million open for fights....which will most likely go towards cotto/lee

That is how you enhance your legacy

Danny Garcia is definitely on his way to a high P4P ranking with DANGEROUS!!
Untested opponents like Salsa, who knows how really good Salsa is?
Salsa could be the next big star, props to Danny for picking a really hard fight.
