looks like hopkins has realigned himself with dela hoya rather than with haymon. makes sense since he's a part owner of gbp.

Hopkins and Haymon are friends, but they don't work together. Hopkins has no ties with Haymon. Once HBO gave the green light to airing Hop vs Kovalev a couple of months ago, that was all that fight needed to be made.

I think Hopkins definitely is showing his loyalty to Oscsr with this move. This fight is probably a lot more telling than it may appear.
