Hopkins-Kovalev: Done Deal

Man Hopkins is a beast for doing this, can't help but love the guy- will be a devout B-Hop fan if he pulls this off.

Thought he wouldn't be able to clinch and bully someone as physically strong and powerful as Kovalev but the fact that he's taken the fight out of choice makes me think he sees too many holes in Kovalev's game (like when Floyd jumped at a Canelo fight after Trout) SUPER INTERESTING.

All those people that kept saying Hopkins would never step into the ring with Kovalev, etc., owe Bernard a big apology. This guy is 49 years old, trying to unify all of the LHW belts and taking on a huge threat. Show the man the respect he deserves.

I said it several times and I still maintain my opinion: Hopkins isn't fighting Kovalev. Even if he steps into the ring.

I'm not the biggest BHop fan because I find his style boring, but man, is the guy legendary. Fights everyone, tells Haymon and Showtime to f off. Brilliant. Floyd, take notes.

Hopkins and Haymon are friends, but they don't work together. Hopkins has no ties with Haymon. Once HBO gave the green light to airing Hop vs Kovalev a couple of months ago, that was all that fight needed to be made.
