Vote:why we want this Cotto vs GGG so bad

It's obvious that the answer is not so clear cut like some " idiot " suggested.
We have a lot of different reason for wanting this fight and some for not wanting it....I'd say it's controversial. Which makes good subject matter.Comment

I'm not paying attention nor am I acting vested.
Let's say the " chasing " is all true. Why are you holding Cotto to a higher standard? Like the guy with the biggest name that is the newest belt holder needs to fold?
Seems to me like he just got on the line....doesn't the line start at the rear?
And. Cotto just fought last...lol
C'mon man Cotto is just a man who by the way has paid his dues and is on his way out.Comment

That's incorrect. He wants to unify all titles. It's really not my argument but I agree he should dump the belt and move on...
My argument is to see why these belts are even more important than the actual fight.
Do you think GGG wants Cotto because of the belt or because he can clobber the easiest belt holder with the biggest name that will put him on the map?
Because if JOE BLOW had the belt I bet GGG wouldn't care too much about unification.Comment

Okay that's true.
Why does Cotto who just fought recently need to be the one to step to the front of the line before two other champs who been there already ?
Because he is the true middleweight?
Why because he is the best of the best and you love him that much?

Then stop claiming what Golovkin is doing if you're not paying any attention to what he's actually doing.I'm not paying attention nor am I acting vested.

Cotto won the lineal championship. Like it or not, that brings certain standards. Golovkin has been the best MW in the world in the majority's eyes for a solid year or so. Whoever holds that lineal championship is going to face the most pressure to face the best opponents. It matters more than the unimportant alphabet belts.
Cotto is unimportant. I want Golovkin to get his shot at the lineal championship, whether that's Martinez or Cotto or anyone else.Comment

Because it what comes with the territory when you win that lineal championship. Cotto is not the best in the division, specially off one fight. Unfair to the ones that have actually fought many fights at MW. Wouldn't you agree? I give you props for actually saying Cotto should go down if he's not going to defend the title. He's in a tight spot actually because 154 may have better talented boxers atm than 160.
But like I said, the boxing fan in me wants the best possible fight for boxing and right now it's Canelo vs Cotto. If Cotto wins in a hard fight, a tune up and then GGG would be fine after.Comment

If Cotto fights another middleweight other than GGG then your right. Then stop claiming what Golovkin is doing if you're not paying any attention to what he's actually doing.

But if he drops the belt and fights a Jr middleweight then I'm right.
By the way, we can all act like we know what all the inner workings in boxing are but you act like your GGG himself and you know what's going on behind the scenes. You then use then to corroborate your little belief. Well I can make believe I'm Quillin and I'm sure I challenged GGG....also I'm Suliman on the weekends and also been chasing GGG....I guess I win this debate.

Your previous response was they should fight because the best should fight the best in the division...
Then you say Cotto is not the best in the division.
I'm done with you now. Being hypocritical does not help your debating skills.
Might I suggest you go back and edit your previous post so not to look too dumb.Comment

Talking about dumb, you're the one that said if the average Joe held the title GGG wouldn't chase him. That was completely wrong info on your part. I know you're defending Cotto and all but a lot of fans don't see it that way. I already posted before your threads on my feelings with Cotto fighting GGG.
