Whats the point of this fight right now? Golovkin can become a bigger star so why make it now when late next year after Cotto dismantles Canelo it will be even bigger? If Cotto fights Rubio in December and look just as good as he did in his last two fights then people will say "he just beat a real 160 pounder, maybe a Cotto-GGG fight is not that crazy" and it will make Cotto-Golovkin even bigger.

So after his fight vs Geale bummed they are resorting to suck Cotto's dick to get the fight! lmao
        !
Cotto makes the same money fighting GGG, Rubio, Quillin, etc. So Cotto will probably take care of his mandatory, and then go on to fight Nelo/Floyd in May.

GGG needs to take a risk, either move up or down to find a known opponent who can elevate his stock. Lara, Thurman, Froch, etc He said that he'll fight anyone from 154-168.

And before anybody start bitching for Cotto to drop the belt, well Rubio is Cotto's mandatory for the WBC belt, so even if he drops the belt GGG cant fight for it.

And about being lineal champion he cant drop being the lineal champ because that's not an actual belt that's a recognition(the man, who beat the man, who beat the man), so unless he goes back in time and loses to Martinez, he cant quit being the lineal champ.

And us Cotto fans should like Golovkin because of how he fights and how humble he is. But let the guy grow and grow in to his fight against Cotto. Cotto should fight Rubio in december, Canelo in May and then unify against Golovkin late next year.

Hilarious seeing Cotto stans contradicting themselves. They're defending Cotto going after the big fights and now they're justifying a Rubio fight. Just as bad as Packy Wapakman's fan base and Floyd's fanatic fan base.

Rubio is the MANDATORY for the wbc belt. pac doesnt have a mandatory and mayweathers doesnt fight mandatories, hasnt in a while.

You would be right about that but I cannot fault the promoter for doing his duty to push for a dream fight for his client. Team Cotto would be foolish to allow it to happen until after every other payday was exhausted (Pacquaio, Mayweather, Canelo, etc, etc).

cotto vs judah was the biggest fight in msg...i doubt a fight with ggg will pack the house the way cotto-judah did.

I think the only thing that kept judah back was his lack of heart. Once the fight got into those deep deep waters, he ALWAYS cracked.
