Legit top 10? He's another Delvin Rodriguez in the division. Weren't you one of the fan boys that was defending Cotto to only go for big fights?
Ggg is not in the big leagues. Barely 9000 for a 20000 stadium. Who has he beaten that is a top fighter? Geale? Stevens? Both who already had losses. How about ggg fight murray? Murray is ranked top 5 for ggg's belts.

We'll Rubio was the mandatory and got side stepped one time to many so he took it to court and sued the WBC for his chance to fight, WBC lost so they paid Rubio to step aside and promised him a shot at the winner of Cotto-Martinez, what that means is if Rubio does not except a step aside fee from the WBC then Cotto has no choice but to fight Rubio or vacate. The WBC made a fatal mistake in upgrading Rubios title to the interim WBC title and now this is the cluster fck they are in. So what should happen is since GGG claims he so badly wants to unify titles he should fight Rubio if not he will have to wait for Rubio to either step aside or get his shot.

So maybe Cotto fans weren't dumb after all, I wouldn't say you were the dumb one, but for your benefit I'd say misinformed.

You need to stay out of ggg threads buddy. So opinionated yet so clueless. Murray has been made offers and ducked 3 times at least. Similar to how you were saying ggg needs to fight kid choc. Get informed

It would be the biggest fight for Genady as he would near exterminate Cotto and get some main stream recognition. But if Cotto had problems with a little plaster, Genady is going to make him feel like he's being hit with bricks. I agree this is not the fight for Cotto. Canelo brings a much bigger payday and youthful vulnerablity. A much better risk reward for Cotto.

                  And what has Rubio headlined?

Those guys he beat, better than Rubio, I think also ranked higher at the time he fought them too.

I dont think Cotto should fight GGG right now, although I would like to see it. I would like to see Cotto go back to 154 for a big Bradley fight or another belt, then go back up to defend. I would like to see GGG annihilate Rubio so Rubio will no longer be the interim champ, GGG would be and would make him the #1 contender especially if Rubio wont take a step aside fee. If it happened this way Cotto can defend against Canelo in May and the winner can face GGG.

WBC made the mistake not me, as I said before I dont make the Rankings. The WBC's hands are tied because the Mandatory rank of Rubio was a court order. So Cotto wont be able to fight GGG even if he wanted too. Either case as i said before Cotto does not have to defend that title right away anyway, he should move down for a quicky unless he has no choice but to fight Rubio in order to defend in May against Canelo - which looks like thats whats going to happen. It all Sucks unless GGG knocks off Rubio.

It is up to Rubio, if he refuses to step aside then Cotto would have to fight him or vacate. Both the WBC and Cotto cant do anything about this as this situation was created by the WBC's ineptitude, and Rubio won in arbitration over the Chavez Jr fiasco that forces the WBC to allow Rubio a fight against the current title holder because when he was reinstated as the #1 challenger Martinez was injured and unable to defend, so Rubio was ordered to fight for the interim belt which mad him the fck ing #1 challenger. More then likely Cotto will have to face Rubio in order to defend against Canelo or anyone else. So what needs to happen if Rubio doesnt step aside is somebody like GGG needs to knock him off because i doubt Rubio would fight Murray. If not, and if Cotto wants to hold the belt he will be FORCED to fight Rubio.
