Call it what you want but GGG has never headlined a PPV nor sold out MSG. Nor fought the likes of Mayweather, Mosley, Martinez, Pacman, Margarito, Judah... etc.

Yes Golovkin is bigger and has a hell of a lot more momentum that Martinez was carrying going into the Cotto fight. Martinez was never big in these shores. Respected champion yes, but fell off the radar completely with his injuries.

GGG has yet to face anyone remotely close to a guy of Kelly Pavlik skill level when Martinez took him to school.
