      • Yeah, they WOULD say that. Now if GGG would've went the distance, got knocked down, and won a disputed decision they'd have been like yeah, let's get the fight on. But since he took a flush shot and responded with a KO shot (in flight) he hasn't quite reached the majors yet. Whatever. He just played in Cotto's house and called him out.

That's was most ironic here... GGG said the same about Ward.

            Oh it's about belts...lol

            Anyway..the past...

"Mayweather needs to fight Martinez" ...he's too big...Cotto says " I got this "

"Canelo and Mayweather needs to fight Pac" ... He's to big.... Cotto says " I go this"

            " Floyd's needs to fight Margarito", he's scared...Cotto says, I got this.

Now whether you think it was luck or skill that Cotto beat Sergio. We all knew he was snatching a belt for history and is now using GGG name for leverage on other fights...stop entertaining the David and Goliath idea.

The fact that you entertain puts Cotto on a pedestal that we have no other fighter on whether you like him or not.

            • Team Cotto doesn't want their cash cow to be knocked out by Golovkin. It's all about the money here and should Cotto lose brutally to Golovkin his stock will drop down less than Pacquiao's and Team Cotto knows that. They'll stretch Cotto for the next couple of more years as a contender but after that it'll pretty much be the end and they'll move on to someone else.

              • If he fights canelo for big money then fair enough. If he fights rubio or something it's a joke. 160 champ should be willing to take on the best at 160.

So regardless of where GGG is ranked as a middleweight he is not ranked as a WBC contender. So to put it simply there is no obligation for Cotto to fight GGG, and could not be misconstrued as the title being held hostage if Cotto did not fight GGG because GGG is not ranked as a WBC challenger. The interim champ which is Rubio is supposed to be the next in line to fight for the WBC title, and after Rubio its Martin Murray. I would like to see Cotto fight Chavez Jr since we know Canelo aint happening till May of next year. I would like to see GGG fight Martin Murray because I dont think GGG can knock Murray out. That fight for GGG would do two things, it would give him a fight that many would consider his first real test and it would put GGG next inline to contend for the WBC title as WBC ranks. If canelo wins his bout, Cotto wins his bout, GGG wins his bout, GGG can go on to fight soliman or destroy Rubio while the winner of Cotto-Canelo faces GGG next
