Then you see Rubio taking this fight (and the belt)?

... Then why are they ranking Chavez Jr at #6 in the division? Doesn't make much sense unless Haymon is pressing hard for this fight...

If Chavez is actually crazy enough to drain himself down to a weight Cotto will agree on, then Cotto should take this fight in a heartbeat. He'd get to beat up on a zombie and make a huge payday.

All that Cotto could ask is that Jr. comes under 160lb at the weigh in -- which Chavez would likely fail... In which case they would still fight but for no belts...
... Therefore, Cotto keeps the belts, they both make a big payday and Chavez eventually wins the fight...

No. I see Cotto coming on top over Rubio. It will allow Miguel to get a "legitimate" defense of the MW belt over his mandatory. Then, vacate and go back and fight Canelo in May, and if victorious (which he should) go after a final showdown with FMJr., and call it a career.

Haymon promised Jr. tens of millions in the contract -- maybe it's Al the one who is pushing Chavez into this! Just imagine Haymon taking control over the lineal MW title...

Not even Roach is mentioning Rubio... He mentions Chavez Jr. instead...

Love Cotto, hate this matchup. The Arum/Roach blueprint strikes again? I hope not.
