Well thanks for making the poll public, now I know exactly who to never take seriously on here ever again....

All the usual suspects anyway.... If you think Mayweather laying on the ropes and shoulder rolling 5 punches then pushing a guy in the neck with his forearm and landing one right hand is more exciting then what GGG does fight to fight then you just love boredom.

Why is it so difficult for people on NSB to understand that NSB's majority opinion is not representative of everyone?

Who in their right mind finds a sure KO over a 10-1 underdog to be exciting?

I think the casual fans have spoken with their PPV purchases-Floyd is about 3x more exciting than GGG.

If PPV's equated to 'excitement' then Floyd-Guerrero wouldn't have sold anything. That matchup was disregarded from the very beginning. What were the odds for that fight?

At the same time, excitement doesn't make for a PPV star. In Floyd's and Manny's case, you were paying to watch the very best in the world. GGG has yet to prove that. Even if the matchup was awful, and in Floyd's case probably going to be a relatively dull affair, you knew that was the top that the sport had to offer and that sells.

It's not so farfetched to call GGG more exciting because of his knockouts and his iron chin. It doesn't mean he's going to sell more PPV's than Mayweather because of it... and you already know this. I expected a little better, Dunn.

I respect you a lot. The fact is NSB regulars (almost all with some serious issues like the TS) responding in this poll do not define what the rest of sports fans think is exciting. Sales is a good measure, but not exact, to determine things like excitement since the purchase happens before the fight.

All KO's are not equal. NSB likes to pretend GGG's KO's of bums is equivalent to Floyd and Manny KOing Hatton or TYson KOing someone.

Yes-Floyd is the very best. You need to consider people may like watching who they perceive is the very best-maybe they find his display of skills exciting even though others don't.

My main point is simple-NSB is not representative of the casual fan. It is entirely possible that regular fans (again without the agenda of the TS and others on NSB) find Floyd more exciting than GGG.

That is just one fight vs GGG's whole resume.

My point is you and others quick to answer GGG are not representative of the average sports fan. You have a clear agenda-most do not.

Those that do have an agenda, may have underlying issues driving your opinion just like you.

Bottom line is while you find GGG getting an easy KO exciting that doesn't mean everyone does.

They are equally exciting, it just depends on what you like to watch. It's Checkers vs Chess!

Floyd fought faded boxers like Mosley and G Hernandez, and boxers who had been recently KOed (Pacquiao, De La Hoya, Cotto, Mitchell, etc.)

Floyd avoided Pacquaio for years. But when Pacquaio didn't look good after being KOed cold, Floyd took advantage of a shot fighter he had been so terrified of.

All of these opponents have been better than anyone on GGG's resume.

Most real fans are not going to find an easy KO victory exciting.

It's like watching a bad NFL team destroy a top flight college team-the only fans that would find that exciting except the fans of the bad NFL team.
