People here need to make up their minds. One minute a fighter is ducking another and then when opportunity presents itself, you same guys are asking fighters to avoid other fighters. Cotto stepped up to middle weight, so I am pretty sure he knew what was there. Let the man be. Give Cotto some respect. He is a battle tested warrior. GGG hasn't done anything yet. One might say Martinez was old when Cotto beat him, but guarantee not one of you predicted the destruction Cotto dished to him.

They all talked about how long it's been since Cotto knocked anyone out, how he struggled with Trout. Get over these theories. When Cotto goes tow to toe with Canelo who is bigger, stronger and much younger, and nobody has to chase the other or worry about cutting the ring off, Cotto has a shot with Canelo by not likely. Cotto has NO shot with Gennady when they too meet in the center of the ring. I would rather see Canelo & GGG have that epic brawl, both young. Both in their prime. Cotto is way too small for GGG. Don't vote with your heart Cotto lovers. Use common sense.
Cotto is faster, moves better boxes better and will turn Canelo around the entire fight They're power is comparible, and every victory Cotto has since moving out of Welter weight has been by KO What are you talking about? Canelo is so slow with his feet that he will be exposed as Cotto spins him around. The fact that you think Cotto will go toe to toe with Canelo underlines the fact that you have no idea of what you are talking about.

I don't even see Cotto/Canelo happening in May. No one's taking that date from Floyd. It would be crazy enough to try and do that without all the promotional issues, but add those in the mix (figuring out how the promoters/networks can come to terms) and there's just no way. I don't think Arum and co. want that fight, period. I wish I was wrong though, because that's the fight I want to see.

Theres only one fight Mayweather could make to knock Cotto Canelo off a cinco de mayo date, and thats against Pac. most likely that will not happen so realistically Mayweather would be crazy to go up against that fight, there is no other fight in boxing bigger then Cotto Canelo especially if they both win their next respective fights.

33 or 37... Do you really f'n think it matters against Canelo or GGG??? Wipe your jizz off your Cotto poster. Cotto is not big enough or strong enough to beat Canelo or GGG. Cotto beat a shot, injury prone Sergio. I'm a huge Cotto fan, but he doesn't have enough game left after all the wars he's had, and no bigger than he is, to beat Canelo or GGG. Make you feel better???? You clowns thinking you understand their contracts, their promotional strategies, theories about Arum, are just fantasizing as though you're on the inside. Cotto puts up a helluva fight with Canelo right in front of him but comes up short. Cotto gets stopped by Gennady if they dare make that fight happen.

If Cotto can take his punch then Cotto wins a decision, because GGG has issues with movement and people who punch back. But more then likely Cotto cant take GGG's punches and is stopped or corner stoppage somewhere in 9-11. And i dont have a favorite fighter so please refrain from the bul$***** fan boy crap, im here to talk boxing.

And you eat dog **** too. Seriously. Cotto stayed right in front of Sergio, right in front of Trout, tried to stay in front of Floyd. Cotto will man up Mano to Mano with Canelo, and it won't go well in the end. The power is no where comparable clown. As big as Lara is why do you think after two rounds he got on his bike and stay the hell away from Canelo's body shots... You place all your heart with Cotto, then you show up back on this site posting how bad Canelo's body shots ****** the life out of Cotto. Lara had a lot of movement if you want to call if that, and faster hands than Cotto by far, and much larger than Cotto, and yet Lara was put on the run all night. Cotto won't run, but he'll stand in there and war until Canelo's size and strength making it a bloody finish for Cotto.

If Cotto can take his punch? Cotto is a small JMW as it is. C'mon man. GGG will probably hurt 168 pounders with that some power he brings in his MW fights. One of GGG's biggest strengths besides his punch is his ability to cut off the ring which he does beautifully. Movement will not be an issue. Yeah i agree, Cotto gets stopped, but more like in rounds 6-8 IMHO.
