Cotto ain't fighting canelo in December. He'll put in for a voluntary and it'll be approved. Run Rubio will then feel like an idiot for stepping aside thinking he'd get a shot at the winner

He's not going to Showtime. Quillin won't fight Gennady period. He's had time, the media and Boxing has called for it. GGG would destroy Quillin just like he did the other killer (Curtis Stevens) from 168 who dropped to '60 to destroy everyone until Gennady train wrecked him. GGG has to be ecstatic after a performance like tonight , headlining HBO, the ratings were very good for Gennady's night. He'll stick around with HBO and he should. GGG has what Quillin wants; come and get it. GGG has Cotto, Canelo for two epic fights. Man up Quillin but you'll see Gennady with HBO.Comment

Floyd sleeps with the lights on when he hears the name Gennady. Think about the ballz Leonard had to come off a 5 year retirement with no tune up fight, to step in with Marvin Hagler. Despite who you think won, that took massive size nutz to do that! Now imagine Floyd stepping in with Gennady while Floyd is active, no retirement.... There's no way in hell Floyd would climb in the ring with Gennady!!!! For no amount of money!!! Floyd is afraid to climb in with Manny Pacquiao who is smaller than Floyd, let alone go fight Gennady wearing any kind of glove Floyd might demand; maybe even bedroom pillows. It doesn't matter, Floyd never agrees to fight for Gennady's title.Comment

He beat a nobody and an old man with no knees and now he is reborn under Roach?
your right Cotto beats GGG, aaa no.
he has no chance against a power punching olimpic silver medalist who is bigger younger, stronger and fresher.
that is a mis matchComment

Miguel is my favorite. Please, just stay away from GGG. You're not a MW! I expected him to win the title, strictly for histoty, then go back down. If he does fight Golovkin, he has the biggest nuts of any fighter ever, literally and figuratively.Comment

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach sat ringside at New York's Madison Square Garden, watching WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (30-0, 27KOs) drill Daniel Geale in three one-sided rounds.
After the match, Golovkin said a unification with WBC champion Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs), who Roach trains, is his top selection at the weight.
That fight appears distant, even with Roach leaving the possibility open. The fight Cotto wants most, says Roach, is Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (44-1-1, 31KOs). Cotto returns on a date in December, but no opponent has been determined.

GGG is too much for Cotto. Way too much for Cotto, especially this late in Cotto's career.Comment

Dont know how many Canelo fights you have watched but Cotto has proven to have the better stamina of the two. Canelo begins to gas around the 7-8th round while Cotto gases around the 10th-11th.Comment
