Cotto would be crazy to take on Golovkin because fighting Canelo is much safer and Cotto has a good shot at winning while there's virtually little chance he'd win against Golovkin. Fighting Canelo will also bring in a bigger paycheck for Cotto without a doubt than fighting Golovkin. I think more casual fans would be more interested in a Canelo vs Cotto matchup anyway and it would bring in big pay-per-view numbers and the arena will probably sell out too. Golovkin is more known amongst serious boxing fans and there's not much reason for Cotto who has been a superstar in the sport for a long time to take on the new kid on the block who ****s harder than anyone Cotto has ever faced. Even though they're virtually close in age, looking at both of them will reveal that biological age and physical age are two different things. Cotto looks like a battered boxer older than his age suggests and Golovkin is 32 but looks and fights like he's in his 20s. I bet most people would think Golovkin is younger than Canelo who just turned 24 years old this month. Cotto has a better chance against Canelo and fighting Golovkin at this stage of his career would be brave but foolish.Comment

Could be. The point is these same Cotto lovers are the same Sergio lovers that thought Sergio would turn back time with his hand speed, athleticism, and give Cotto a boxing lesson. They wanted to bet with their heart, not common sense. Same with Cotto vs Gennady. They don't want that fight for one. Canelo they have a slim chance with. Gennady is a killer at 160, hits so damn hard, Chavez left town and went to 168 and complained Arum was the problem. No, the problem is Chavez can't just train 10 days for GGG like he trained 10 days for Sergio and almost got away with it. Cotto will stand and fight and to his demise if GGG happens.Comment

you asked a question and i answered it. Not to mention in the rematch Margs didnt even look like he belonged in the same ring. I never said GGG wouldnt keep up but there are more dynamics to any fight rather then what norm's always say "he will get killed". If Cotto can take and/or avoid GGG's power its a very interesting fight.Comment

Cotto should not even entertain fighting GGG unless he gets 15-20 mils range which he won't. Also, I wonder why roach commented on the HBO - GGG deal. Did he give us some type of hint? Is cotto looking to sign with showtime? Found it awkward that he'd comment on that when it's not brought upComment
