100% true but Toney is the least disciplined guy by far out the whole crew. Ballooning up in weight all the time. Floyd is like Toney with less power but more speed which would be good against Roy. RJ was young when he fought Hopkins but Bernard was super green.

I still say til this day that everyone talks about Floyd-Pac but no one ever talks about the RJ-Hopkins rematch anymore. To me that was just as big and we missed out on it. Hopkins was so special at the time of the Tito fight. Fast foward to the future and we see how well Hopkins fought at 175 and how big/strong he is. That tells me that if he had fought RJ at 168 like they were suppose to, he wouldve had no problem at looking good at that weight.

I still say even in a loss, Hopkins gave Roy by far the toughest fight of his career besides Griffin. If they had the rematch you would still have to favor Roy but I think it wouldve been hell for him and it wouldnt shock me at all if Hopkins won. No one was going to dominate that version of Hopkins and us as fans missed out on in (even though I blame Hopkins for pricing himself out with his ego)

and he had to bulk up to that.

just compare him to his opps at 175. prime roy was smaller than bhop when bhop was 160 champ.

175 was never a glamour division.

they had good fighters as other divisions, just not well known names.

hell is ricky hatton much better than clinton woods?

or marg better than julio gonzalez?

not really but hatton and marg were more popular hence better known so guys like pac and floyd get more credit.
look, Im not a Roy hater. He's damn near close to the GOAT but Floyd is a great fighter in his own right and styles also make fights. I just see RJ having more problems with Floyd then the other way around. RJ said himself that he thinks the scale was wrong because when he weighed himself he was at 200 either that morning or the night before and yes Hatton is a hell of alot better than Woods

which floyd never had the balls to do.
        Actually Arum said he did.

And how is the choice to leave TR, make the same amount of money and win the lineal title a duck?? Then a fight that would make him the cash cow of boxing. Absolute nonsense! Do you HONESTLY think that Arum would've allowed him to fight Margarito without signing an extension with TR?? History shows that Floyd leaving TR and not fighting Margarito for 8 mil was the 100% move. Only haters say different.

i hate the bhop was so green during roy fight excuse.

yes he didn't have am background but he turned pro before roy and had a couple more fights than roy.

5 yrs, 20+ fights. is no beginner.

                    Roy vs Floyd..

It would look like the first 4 rds of zab-Floyd, but for all 12 rds.. I don't see how Floyd beats jones... Jones was just as smart, just as fast if not faster, both are good ring generals-Floyd maybe slightly better, but the deciding factor would be that Roy had serious one punch power in his prime, Floyd never had that, and I think Roy's power and explosiveness would lead him to victory via decision
