This has been discussed over and over. Floyd started his pro career at 130 and is at most a small JMW. Roy's first few pro fights were around 150-something but then he went right to middleweight. As intriguing as this topic is, it can't be done. Roy was too big.

roy was a special talent. more talented than floyd.

      speed, power....

floyd is better technically but natural gifts roy had in spades.

roy's problem was few famous fighters at 175 that casuals know. so his resume is so so.

roy is no doubt a special talent and if someone thinks he is better then I have no problem with it but you act like its a joke and its not. Its very close and Ill go with Floyd because if 2 guys are similar then Im going with the technically superior fighter with the better defense. That will matter very much in this fight. I also think Roy couldve lost or came very close to losing if he had rematched Hopkins after the Tito fight

roy and floyd is not similar.

floyd has similar hand speed that's about it.

roy had more power, more fluid, more dynamic, quicker feet.

dude, that knock down was more fake then Zab knocking down Floyd. Toney was just trying to mimmick RJ and got caught off balance. It wasnt no hard shot and Toney wasnt hurt or even dazed

fundementals will beat that stuff 99 out of 100 times. Thats why when guys get old or past there prime, dudes like that fade quicker. Meanwhile others can fight at a high level for a million years because they are so technically sound. Again, I wont be upset at anyone picking RJ as he is clearly an ATG but dont act like this is a sure thing. Its not

So Floyd vs. Roy at 168...what happens?
p4p, Floyd walks out of a casket beating any version of RJJ. They had comparable athletic abilities, but Floyd's ring IQ, and boxing ability were leap years ahead of anything RJJ could ever dream of.

You realize Floyd dominated Canelo right?
