    you don't get it.

99.9% of boxers who try a LEAD, LUNGING punch on james toney would be dropped on their ass.

toney was very skilled and had fast hands himself.

whether toney was hurt is irrelevant.

it shows roy's speed and physical gifts against a top notch elite talent.

floyd fighting someone canelo's size was ROY EVERY FIGHT at 175.

roy was a 5'10 natural mw. all his opps at 175 were like 6'2 walking around 200.

Even Toney said no way in he'll Roy catches me with that left hook before the fight. I think Roy caught him with that hook without a counter all fight.

It was a great moment that showed Roys greatness but lets not act like he did this in a normal moment. It only happened because Toney was trying to just mimmick what Roy did. Its not like he did it during a normal part of the fight

              this guy knows.

all you kids that never saw roy fight just go download his career.

              boxing didn't begin with floyd.

anyone who thinks floyd is close to roy athletically never saw roy fight.

floyd might be greater and better boxer but he's not gifted as roy physically.

I always thought, fundamentally, floyd and james came from the same school of boxing, whereas jones made his own school...roy pretty much knew that style well, whereas toney and hopkins didn't know where jones was coming from.

Watch the tape. Bill Miller tells James the whole fight to catch the hook, and come back with your hook. It was the right instruction, but James could never catch it. It was all downhill from there.

                      he was like 195.

and he had to bulk up to that.

just compare him to his opps at 175. prime roy was smaller than bhop when bhop was 160 champ.

175 was never a glamour division.

they had good fighters as other divisions, just not well known names.

hell is ricky hatton much better than clinton woods?

or marg better than julio gonzalez?

not really but hatton and marg were more popular hence better known so guys like pac and floyd get more credit.
