Not a pretty fight.

I always got the impression, Porter was like a bulldozer... who'd come in head first. Brook held alot and clinched...but Porter didn't make the adjustment,...he couldn't get in the right range so he bulldozed his way too close.

But Brook had I guess the right strategy. Porter is a very physical fighter. Brook's strategy negated Porter's reliance on dominating physically.

Well.........Thurman was probably on some schit against Chaves but we all knew he was juicing to begin with. Now that Thurman is on some injury stuff......I'll give him a pass for trying to come in clean....lol. Just put him in the ring with Bradley so I can prove to the world who the real 3rd place dude is at WW (we all know Pac and Floyd are 1 and 2).

You're a good poster. But this fight really wasn't that close in my opinion.

What scoring criteria could possibly be used to give Porter more than 3 or 4 rounds tops? Just his hyperactive, ineffective aggression?

Well in a lot of the rounds neither did barely anything of note.

So a lot of rounds could have gone either way because of how bad both men were.

Which is why I wouldn't have complained with a draw.

Neither were impressive at all IMO. I guess Porter was less impressive.

Just got back from the fight - scored it 114-114 however I felt Brook was a bit better when all was said and done.
