If numbers are true, then it looks bad for Canelo's drawing power

It does look worse since he was part of one of the highest selling PPVs... but he hasn't had that breakthrough fight yet.... that'd be Cotto IMO...until then, they're in building mode

Low numbers but it looks like PPV numbers in general are taking a hit. Mayweather and Pacquiao's last fights couldn't hit a million, Cotto-Martinez relatively bombed and now the supposed next boxing star racked up some mediocre numbers. Guess people are tired of spending money on something you can get for free online (like I do).

In PPv it's all about the opponent... If your opponent isn't viewed as a big name or a threat then your numbers take a hit..

Floyd vs ghost, Ortiz, Maidana, do roughly a million or less.. But give Floyd a marquee opponent like oscar, Shane, cotto, and you will have blockbuster numbers...

Ali-Frazier 3 is gonna sell a lot better than Ali-young or lyles..
Tyson vs seldon is gonna do less numbers than Tyson-Holyfield..

PPv fights is a 2 sided equation, and if both sides are considered marquee then it will do big numbers.. Lara was not marquee
