Like i said before its a good fight, but there are better options especially at this point of his career. Waste of time and for whats left in his tank.Comment

I think it's a good style clash myself and I would not be surprised if Algieri outboxes Pacman tbh. The only thing I don't like is ppv. Then again I don't like any ppv. So I won't complain about Pacman's when there are other ppv matches that were complete garbage. You can't support one trash ppv and hate on the next cause you like the main attraction in one and not the other.Comment

At this point just moving on Pac frustrates him. He doesn't want to give chase. And when he hurts Algieri, Algieri will start moving and make Pac give chase. At that point we get an uneventful fight where a bored, annoyed Pacquiao looks average against someone who is dancing away from him.Based on what? What has this guy ever done that makes people think that he could cause one of the best fighters of this era to struggle? I'm not singling you out, but it's an open question. To my knowledge, I've seen three Algieri fights: Peralta, Taylor, and Provodnikov. From those alone I think he's in a world of trouble. Somewhere along the way a myth was born that Algieri is this master boxer, but I just don't see it. Peralta frequently beat him to the punch, touched him often exposing a leaky defense, and had him on shaky legs at times. He did his best work in outboxing Taylor, which at world level doesn't impress me much. And he had a tough fight with a one trick pony in Ruslan. I thought they fought to a draw but it is what it is, a good win.
Nothing I've seen shows me that he's ready to face an offensive threat like Pacquiao, an explosive southpaw that's going to show him speed and angles that he's never encountered. The most experienced boxers have had issues dealing with it, so consider me skeptical that a guy with a kickboxing background will pass the test. Algieri has no power at 140, so I can't see him discouraging Pac at all at welter. I think he's going to Macau to be dismantled.
I think that's highly possible. Old shot Mosley did it to a better Pac than now.Comment

I'm asking for your opinion, not what others on here think.
And didn't Pac just fight Bradley? Has Floyd ever fought a welterweight as good as Bradley?
Guerrero, Ortiz and Maidana aren't top welterweights ma man. Just like Rios isn't a top welterweight. Cut out the double standards.Comment

This fight is a step down from the Rios fight. And even that was pretty one sided. But Rios was understandable because Pac needed a chance to redeem himself from the KO loss. My theory is, if all the marketable interesting fighters in Pac's division are managed by Haymon or GB, then Roach and Pac should've took that into consideration. I get tired of hearing excuses like oh Arum don't do business with Haymon. Don't get me wrong, I hate Bob Arum. But we need to start blaming the fighters too. I get tired of this.Comment

That short chubby ref was funny to watch...the macau card yesterday :
- they hada 8 round fight changed to a 6 rounder during the fight to benefit a fighter
- referee for rigo fight made several horrific mistakes in a few seconds
There is zero chance the judges in macau will score against pacquaio
algeiri doesnt punch hard enough to knock pacquaio out
the outcome is inevitable so whats the point of the fight
to fight a guy like pacquaio you should have a deserving enough resume and algeiri does not
its that simple
but obviously you know bestComment
