It's happened before but it's not the norm. If it were that easy PAC would be fighting a creditable opponent now instead of some scrub that nobodies heard of. PAC turned down 40 mil without even batting an eye. What kind of garuntee would it take for PAC to say yes? Maybe both sides are too far apart to even negotiate.

It would take a percentage split, not a flat fee. Especially a crappy one like that, you offer that to ensure the fight doesnt happen

you do know that HBO/SHOWTIME have co-promoted events before? this would be a win win for both.. HBO helps showtime with some of that purse, promotional fees and ect... they both promote the hell out of it.. and all is left is revenue split.. which at this point everyone would agree 70/30 in Floyd's is about fair..

The Arum excuse is dead. Manny re-signed with Arum after Arum killed (cuts, stadiums, etc.)the biggest payday he could ever earn, and now he's fighting Chris Algeri. Floyd had to kiss Arum's as$, but he left and got paid like no other boxer in history. Oscar did the same, and so did Cotto.
