It would take a percentage split, not a flat fee. Especially a crappy one like that, you offer that to ensure the fight doesnt happen

              70/30?

              hmmmm....

you don't really want to see them fight, do you?

$40 million would be Pacquiaos career high payday.... Pacquiao taking a percentage split.. with Arum taking his cut would be less than $40 million.. you do know that Arum gives Manny advances on his fights.. so technically.. Manny owes Arum money.

Cause that's the "most" money he's ever made.. it's like the tards turning it and saying why didn't mayweather take 50flat? I mean they both sold in the vacinty.. 1.5mill to 1.25 is only 250k buys.. gtfh.. stadium was arum, arum was floyds, promotional companies was floyds, only if he signs with me, was floyds, he needs to leave arum, was floyds, he needs to take testing, (even though Manny had publicly said he would) was Floyd's, he's lost, was floyds, he beat my leftovers, was floyds, he's retiring, was floyds, he's not thinking about fighting, was floyds..

90% are all he said/she said... THE BIGGEST ROADBLOCKS ARE FLOYD, THEN ARUM AND THEN ROACH.. AND THEN THE PUPPET MANNY..
"Blood one was eventually agreed..." I'm not going to argue this point, Freddie Roach has already admitted the reason the first negotiations failed. Not only that, Roach later said Ariza was "shady," "shakes," etc. Next, the money issue. If Manny was disrespected by the split, how do you think Marquez feels now? Manny's legacy fights are Barrera, Morales, and Marquez. Marquez is just as much as responsible for Manny's popularity as Manny himself. But he can't get 50/50 after knocking Manny out? The Arum excuse is dead. Manny re-signed with Arum after Arum killed (cuts, stadiums, etc.)the biggest payday he could ever earn, and now he's fighting Chris Algeri. Floyd had to kiss Arum's as$, but he left and got paid like no other boxer in history. Oscar did the same, and so did Cotto. Manny had a choice and he made it, which led him to Chris Algeri...not Floyd's fault. Why the fight is not happening today...Floyd's fault...but I can't blame him. He broke records with the Oscar fight, then beat that with Canelo, and he might beat that with a Cotto or Canelo rematch. He really doesn't need Manny. Even as bad as Maidana revenues, it was still better than Pac/Bradley II, Canelo/Angulo, and Cotto/Martinez. The fans will suffer, but we can't change history.

Richard Schaefer summed it all up here in this article... Arum full of it.. and like it was stated.. nobody told Pacquiao to re-sign with him

Richard Schaefer has thoughts on Bob Arum’s thoughts on a variety of topics, including his interest in Mayweather vs Pacquiao, the U.S. boxing market, and more.
