But where is the improvement? Cutting off the ring is an essential part of boxing. Canelo is a good combination puncher, good power and excellent hand speed but where is the improvement? He looked lost for 6 rounds last Saturday.

Nothing has changed since Trout, looks like he didn't pick up on anything from the Mayweather fight either.
Against Mayweather he was force to cut off the ring and arguably was shutout. He also had to cut off the ring against Lara and did enough to earn a competitive win. He obviously had to improve even in the slightest at least mentally to no get frustrated.

The Trout fight was a much different stylistical fight where he boxed instead of being the aggressor.

Like I said he's not Angulo/ Margarito we shouldn't expect him to excel at that style. Styles make fights .

Imo he did learn from the Mayweather fight, when Lara was running he went to the body all night and got the nod. Should have tried that against Mayweather, where as he didn't and lost.

Instead you should be encouraging favorable match-up's against top comp like Cotto and Kirkland who only has one flash loss. And it favors Canelo's style and we can see a real fight.

But no, you're so worried about seeing him get "schooled" at something we already know, he's not a run and gun fighter. Get over it.
He has being schooled, I'll not say he is a bum but he ain't elite he is just been promoted and hyped as an elite fighter, and theres proof of that, it just happens that fanatics like you fail to reconize it and keep the train moving, he doesn't have a one punch ko, he doesn't move well, he doesn't have a ring IQ, compare to guys like floyd and lara he looks like a turtle, but what he have is multi-million dollar cia behind him because he is a red headed mexican that fights for a living, duane bobick comes to mind, I welcome cotto, kirkland, charlo brothers, andrade, hey all the top jmw, he ain't $h1t...

He already did that and lost and nobody is calling him a bum. He proved he is just slightly not as good.

Canelo needs work and i think he will get better, hes young and has time to improve, if he doesnt improve he will lose eventually and soon, thing thats good about him is this... he is fighting top competition

I think the Canelo hype has really leveled off since Mayweather. I haven't seen anyone in the longest of time calling him "the future of boxing" or anything similar. We all know he's a young guy with limits, I at least respect him for wanting to take on all comers. This is a guy who asked for Trout, Mayweather, Lara, and yes even Kirkland and Williams at one point. He may not be the best ever but he definitely has balls.

So we should expect Canelo to struggle with a boxer if every match up? His ability to adjust isn't that great.

A new trainer wouldn't hurt either. Chepo and Eddie can only bring him so far

Idk i like Canelo more than Lara but i don't think he learned from the Floyd fight. Canelo actually got Floyd to the ropes and stared throwing combinations that all missed and got countered with shots with his shoulder-roll defense and elusiveness from Floyd. Lara on the other hand just shells up so he's easier to hit.

Yes, doesn't mean he can't beat them. He struggles cutting of the ring but we just saw him beat a very good boxer. Time will tell if he can improve.

Look at Marquez we all know he struggles when he has to force the action. The dude is a legend and has one of the greatest trainers in some time yet that's not his strength as a boxer.
