This is a joke of a fight has anybody seen Caparello fight?
Pushes with his punches, poor balance, pulls back in straight lines and fights like he is some sort of slickster which he is anything but.

Couldn't they of found a better opponent than this? This guy is going to get brutalised. I wouldn't even class it as a stay busy fight, this guys getting slaughtered.

Ah... ya beat me to it. Yeah - Kovalev can deal with Southpaws.

And with reference to your following post, the answer is probably not.

Outside of the top 4 or 5 names, LHW is basically a desert. Take out Stevenson, Hopkins, Pascal and a few fringe hangers on like Fonfara, Braehmer and Chilemba there is no-one left to fight that either Kovalev or Stevenson didn't run over last year.

There's a coupla up and comers - I don't particularly rate Tommy Williams Jr, but he could maybe find a place in the top ten, and in a year or two Beterbiev and Mekhontsev should be looking to rank, but essentially there is no proven opponent for Kovalev right now.

Nah - Kovalev's in a pretty crap place with regards to finding a decent opponent right now, though obviously if BHop is genuine in saying that he's willing to fight Kovalev that could be one of the biggest fights around.

That's what lou has become in this sport. A guy who slithers around the both, barrel of the boxing world, signs the guys no one wants, and than he tries to get them a few fights to build them back up, and than tries to get them in line to fight top ranks studs.

Lou never actually promotes or builds any of his guys anymore, it's pathetic.

        huh?

dibella promoted two of the better middleweights since bernard hopkins...

Nope. There was literally no one better, EXCEPT Chilema. That's the only person I can think of

For what it's worth, Caparello fought on ESPN recently and is undefeated, that combined with being the highest ranked potential opponent besides Chilemba is why they approved him probably

Cleverly wasn't afraid of Kovalev either. That was the big mistake he made. When a guy hits as hard as Kovalev, his opponents should fear him, or fear his power at least. Otherwise, they are going to get themselves clobbered pretty quickly, the same as Clev.

I remember him most for breaking with Jermain Taylor when he could've ****** him dry just because he was worried about his health. He always seemed like a straight up guy to me. But maybe he's gone bad. I haven't noticed what you're saying. Sad if that's the case. Always liked him.
