He bragging that he landed 9 or 10 more punches..that's his argument for why he won? LMAO..this ain't the olympics cuz. A jab and a hook don't count as the on a scorecard. In the olympics every punch is +1 regardless of the punch itself, in boxing it's a big difference. A hook, an overhand, etc count the same as several jabs. If not Floyd and other amazing jabbers would fight on the backfoot jabbing all night long exclusively. 55 jabs out of 107 total landed punches when the other guy hits you with 88 power shots out 97 punches is a loss my friend. Sorry to break it to you.

In the punches that was counted he landed more than Canelo. Why his punches didn;t count?. Of course, the air punches for Canelo seems to be counted. Is better to count a punch to the air than a punch from Lara to the head. Is clear Lara won and neither both fighters did a lot for the victory but the one who conected more and won more rounds was Lara. What a Cuban need to do to win in Las Vegas against GB and a Mexican?. Buy the judges as they did?

Missing wildly? So I guess all the grimacing Lara was doing was from the wind of the punches. Canelo may have missed a ton of punches but he landed a hell of a lot more than people are acting or saying he did. In fact he landed the harder shots while the punch count difference is like 10 punches landed.

canelo did get some good body punches in but a high number were blocked too, but for you to say he landed the harder shots am eager to know what device you used to measure them, did u see gingers face and the 1-2 combination sending canelo back plenty of times.
And just for the fact canelo cant cut off the ring to save his life and following lara like a choo choo train he deserved to loose.

The point here is not who won or lost the fight.THE POINT IS NOBODY WANTS TO SEE LARA FIGHT EVER AGAIN. THE WAY HE FIGHTS ANYBODY CAN BE A BOXER... JUST THROW A RANDOM PERSON IN THE RING AND WATCH THEM DO THE SAME THING AS LARA, RUN AROUND AND RUN AWAY FROM THE OPPONENT. paying to see lara fight is the same as babysitting a 3 year old kid in the ring.. they'll just run around also... Even when he stands still he is boring.. Watch the Lara vs. Trout fight and you'll remember HOW MANY PEOPLE BOOED the first half of the fight because of how boring Lara is.

I was at the fight and man people were booing him a lot,you probably can't hear it on tv but it was awful,and really the place was packed and i'm not kidding I saw maybe like 7 or 8 lara fans,thats it,maybe there were more but that's all I saw,canelo is the one who brought in that crowd,you can't complain about not getting a shot and then blowing it that way by just running and slapping your opponent,i like boxers but that to me isn't boxing,you can have skills but man don't have to run like that,it really was terrible to watch,i enjoy guys with good skills like finito lopez had,marquez when they were younger especially Rafael,mayweather doesn't run like this guy did,mayweather uses defense by moving his head,waist and counters,this really is awful especially when it's on ppv and I really hope nobody ever puts him on these big cards again like hbo or sho...it was awful to watch

and I really think that if lara felt he was 150% better (which that means a lot better,i mean great) then he should have boxed differently,stood there and use different kind of defense,thrown more punches,not just land one and run,run,jab run,,that to me isn't showing you are 150% better,lets say he won which I don't think he did,that means he barely won and to me that isn't 150% better than canelo,based on his performance no,he fought ugg,,man I don't even know how to describe what he did,but ugly is the word and not like he's that much better as he claims..i think he won't look good in his next fights and people will forget about him,they should after that marathon he pulled off

Canelos teams body language did say it all. Ronnie Shields was right, they should've never took this fight.

Canelo was supposed to shut Lara up but instead he was outboxed and looked bad nearly all the fight, hitting the ropes, missing wildly, punching elbows.

His expression dont mean he loss fool! Lara lost, in a close fight you close the show which he did not... i had it a draw but 115-113 either way is a good score... you are still whining about the loss not because it was a close loss but because of the 117-111 card that sealed the deal... but you scored it 8-4 lara which is just as bad as 117-111 for canelo, thats a wide card that doesnt show the true nature of what this fight really was......CLOSE!!!

39% is not a vaste majority in this world, sorry.

And normally head shots are considered more 'important' than body shot when scoring . That is because one's head is smaller, more mobile, and more difficult to hit.

39% can be called a majority if the other 61% were split between a draw and Lara winning. Majority does not have to be more than 50%. For example:

Canelo won - 39%
Lara won - 30%
Draw - 31%

Vast majority is the wrong wording but the majority of people thought Canelo won could very well be true. I have no idea, I don't care just putting that out there as well as my % not being accurate. However, there is no way Lara deserved to have his hand raised.

For the rest I can agree with you. Lara fought like an amateur , scoring points, he should have been more active.

But what did Canelo do to win the fight? take a stroll around the ring , while following Lara ?.

His power shots were mostly to the body, most of them where smothered or not exactly clean.
He only threw 29 punches more than Lara, it means around 2.5 more punches per round. Impressive!?

And based off the percentages he didnt lose either... i had it a draw which is in fact the correct score for this fight.
