it's basically impossible to score a fight this close to a degree of certainty without an HD feed. you can get an idea, but you really can't tell how effective the punches are to the degree that you need to to score such a close fight.

at the very least, it was close. a close fight isn't a robbery. if you want to cry about something, you cry about the wide card, not the decision itself going to alvarez.
    I don't have a problem with Lara 7-5 6-6 or canelo 7-5

But 9-3 canelo is a robbery

      I had it:

      RD 1: 10-9 Lara
      RD 2: 10-9 Lara
      RD 3: 10-9 Lara
      RD 4: 10-9 Canelo
      RD 5: 10-9 Canelo
      RD 6: 10-9 Canelo
      RD 7: 10-9 Canelo
      RD 8: 10-9 Canelo
      RD 9: 10-9 Canelo
      RD 10: 10-9 Lara
      RD 11: 10-9 Lara
      RD 12: 10-9 Canelo

      115-113 Canelo

Ultimately I think it comes down to how you scored rounds 5/6 and 8, I can see it going 115-113 Lara...but that 117-111 card was crazy.

Personally, I believe Lara gave away the middle rounds, running around the ring doing a poor Ali or Leonard impression without throwing counters or getting off first isn't enough to win rounds. Canelo on the other hand, got his best work done in those rounds, beautiful body shots and some decent upper cuts.
9-3 Lara, I will watch it again when not with a crappy stream and sober, but I promise you before even doing so the most I could give to Canelo would be two more rounds, so no matter how you slice it Lara wins in my book.

Cleaner punches, more power shots, better ring generalship, the skill gap was apparent, aside from the cut he even looked like the victor using the "who would you rather be at the end of the fight" comparison, in fact, other than hit air, look foolish, and chase Lara around the ring with ineffective pressure, im not sure what Canelo did to win rounds. I can't give rounds to the pressure fighter if his pressure is ineffective and his opponent is outthinking him and controlling the ring. It goes against everything I have been taught in the gym and in the ring.

had it 6-6 but I would give canelo the benefit of the doubt with the way lara fought some of those rounds.

I had the exact same score card as you except I also gave canelo the 2nd round

It was all I had at the moment, what do you expect me to not speak on the fight until I rewatch it? lol. I always speak my mind and am usually right about cards and outcomes so even if this is one I get "dead wrong", there is no shame from me either way, I still know more than many posters around here so I won't sweat it, lol.

anybody that has it 9-3 or even 8-4 either way really doesnt know how to score a fight..

No offense to the people that did, but i really think you dont know what your talking about if you had it wide for either guy

I won't take that statement seriously, I have a long list of right predictions and commendable scorecards around here and have won many debates, so deal with my 9-3 card, It would be one wrong in a long list of quality assessments at best.

Rewatching a fight for scoring purposes and swaying rounds one way or another isn't how you score fights they are scored live as they happen so who cares if you go back and say a punch so and so landed in a round I missed therefore now your scorecard has changed.

OK sure then i'll laugh at you it's an objective/imperfect view that's done in the moment with the whole fight atmosphere being a factor.
