Good, close fight. That really wide card was terrible. 114-113 or 115-113 Canelo. Lara stared well early, but just had too many stretches with very little activity.

And I must continue to laugh at the "Lara will school Nelo" crowd.

OK sure then i'll laugh at you it's an objective/imperfect view that's done in the moment with the whole fight atmosphere being a factor.
That standard can only be held to the judges, the rest of us are drinking, cheering, and having a good time, and half of us can't see from the best angles at the time, so no, as a fan, if you want a legit scoring then you go and take the time to rewatch it, I have to rewatch this fight as well, as I remind people when I scored it for Lara that it was a crap stream and so my scoring could change.

Except he did, it certainly wasn't the other way around. When I make my opponent look foolish like Lara did to Canelo, I get appluded by my trainer in the gym.

I see a few people gave Canelo the 2nd, gave that round to Lara but it was a swing round IMO. But I thought Nelo rattled off about 6 straight rounds, with the 7th being very close.

Will need to watch the 12th again.

There's no way he "schooled him". Simply no way.

I can see him winning, of course. As it was a close fight that could have gone either way.

But there ain't no way he "schooled him".

Not looking at the whole fight maybe, but in many single rounds, especially in the beginning, he absolutely did in my book. and Canelo never looked dominant as a statement back, I saw ineffective pressure and missed punches, and many blocked shots.

How can Lara be pivoting and using good footwork then coming back with a 3 punch combination to the face then moving out, not be commendable? In what world is that? To me that is boxing.

I thought the 12th was pretty clear for Alvarez. He pushed the fight, had a few up inside body combos, and Lara seemed content to give it away.

just finished watching fight for second time. must admit lara's running looked a little more legit at times butt still...
                  red question marks
                  mean round was close.
right man won. lara damaged his career fighting like he was at a track meet. who's going to want to fight him? low rewards .

Canelo's body work was very impressive IMO.

I'd like to see him throw more combinations and put the pressure on better, he's still learning and he did show improvement but he's still got a lot of improving to do.

I get it's hard because his feet are slow and Lara's very tricky so it's always going to be hard for him but he did very well at times especially in the mid rounds in closing the distance.

That's how I scored it. But seen more than a few ppl give that round to Lara.
