Kovalev sucks against southpaws?


Kovalev destroyed everyone he fought thus far. He hasn't struggled with anyone.



Are you talking about Agnew? I don't remember if he was a southpaw but that was a completely one sided beat down. Agnew shelled up as soon as he felt Kovalevs power in the first round and threw no more then 20 punches the rest of the fight

Agnew did fight as a Southpaw and he gave Kovalev some problems every time he choose to punch back.....A real talented Southpaw who isn't mentally defeated before the fight (like Agnew was) would give Kovalev a ton of problems.....Kovalev would get hit alot against any decent Southpaw and we still don't know anything about his chin or how he tolerates getting hit.

You call Canelo a hype job yet his resume is 5x's more impressive than GGG's and Kovalevs combined...

Canelo would spank Macklin or Geale.....Lara and Trout are completely uncomparable to Macklin or Geale since they are both southpaws and don't stand in front of their opponents....It's impossible to compare the 4.

I think Canelo is a good fighter but beyond all the controversy last night revealed how limited both guys are in their inability to adapt and really take control of a fight like a great fighter would. Why would Canelo think that Lara would do anything besides "run" like he always does? Why would Lara think that potshotting the pride of Golden Boy and Mexico would get him the win?

Name another fighter that fought that brutal of a schedule in their last 4 fights..

Trout and lara fights were close, but not robberies...

but all that is besides the point, the fact of the matter is that canelo is not a hypejob anymore, he may not be topping p4p lists, but he certainly is a legit world class top level fighter and an elite in his division...

I kinda agree, Canelo seems to take on all comers similar to oscar..

But people overreact to close decisions... just because the guy you scored it for lost, doesnt mean it was a robbery..

Kovalevs chin has been tested. He took Darnell Boones best shots in their second fight. The same punch that KOd Adonis Stevenson and knocked Andre Ward down

When Canelo was at the point of Kovalevs career right now he wasn't even fighting full time boxers. He was fighting guys with 10-50 records. Please.....
