Canelos a mediocre fighter. True "hypejob," IMO

Your "logic" is way way way way off.....Wtf does Canelo looking bad against a slick Southpaw boxer like Lara have to do with him fighting Macklin or Geale....Who are absolutely nothing like Lara....
    Kovalev sucks against southpaws?

Kovalev destroyed everyone he fought thus far. He hasn't struggled with anyone.

Are you talking about Agnew? I don't remember if he was a southpaw but that was a completely one sided beat down. Agnew shelled up as soon as he felt Kovalevs power in the first round and threw no more then 20 punches the rest of the fight

Now THAT was surviving. Not what Lara did last night

Anyway. It's not because he struggled with Lara. I just don't think he's good enough to beat them

GGG steamrolls Canelo lol. Sorry bro

You do realize that by the time or their 29th fights GGG has fought a world level competition? Canelo was still fighting sheep herders by his 30th fight so why mention resume?

You're talking MWs, but he has no intention of fighting MWs.
It's not like he beat Trout and Lara down. Close fights and I feel Lara is a bit overrated and I don't really rate Trout highly. But that's just me.

          Angulo........ Meh

He's 23 so he does have youth on his side but I don't see him getting better. He is what he is at this point. Should go nowhere near 160, IMO (I bring up 160 because commentators said he's moving up )

Not yet he doesn't but I'd bank my money on him beating the likes of Quillin, Geale and Murray.

Some people are just never satisfied. Maybe canelo should just fight lesser opponents a la the Haymon way, then maybe more people would give him respect. He brought the fight last night against a fighter who didn't want to engage.

Yeah, but even if you didn't think he won, even to have razor close fights against these guys indicates you're legit.

Lara hoped his "Cuban" amateur style would carry him to victory. Yes Floyd did give Lara the blueprint, but Lara never initiated the action at all. And unlike Floyd he was hit hard to both the head and body. He will never be the star he thinks he is. He, like Rigondeaux, are not crowd pleasing at all. Top Rank and GBP do not want to promote them as a side. They will struggle to ever develop a strong fan base because of their overly cautious styles. Thankfully Lara will soon be fighting on networks carrying Rigondeaux fights. Fights we won't be able to see!

All 3 are good fighters and he beat all 3.

He's clearly not a hype job. Hype jobs don't beat these kind of fighters, atleast not consistently.

I don't see it. These are bigger guys, they'll be able to take Canelo's power easily and return it with interest. SA is not a big man. A guy like Murray for example is 6ft and could probably fight at SMW.

Canelo v Cotto is a good fight.
