Canelos a mediocre fighter. True "hypejob," IMO

Canelo is great for the sport,, he is a big draw that seems to fight all comers, much like a young oscar and manny

His last 4 fights are the toughest four fights consecutively that anyone has fought in recent years

        Good point. I agree

True though. We're talking about a guy who could fight @ 140 fighting a guy who will fight @ 160. Unlikely matchup given size, outcomes indifferent.

Plus canelo will be about 170 come fight night,, and manny can barely make 150.. 20 pounds would be a big difference, I think manny has a chance but I would consider it an upset

I think him being a big draw and his star power is what overrates him a bit but fair enough.

He's definitely not bad for the sport lol. Kidma shoved down our throats IMO but that's just me

I could see the modern-boxer Pacquiao beating him to a UD. Not as badly as he did Margarito though, I over-exaggerated that.

Who dominates top fighters,, there is about 5 guys in the entire world that dominate top level guys consistently ie Floyd, ward, rigo, manny, wlad at heavy..

Bradley, jmm, cotto, froch, and many more world class fighters haven't dominated another top fighter...

I can see how canelo isn't a p4p guy, but he def isn't a hype job, he has proven he belongs at the world class level
If canelo is being hyped up as the future of boxing and the next best thing then he needs to show more than he is now. Barely scraping by doesn't cut it. And I highly doubt he ever beats someone like golovkin.

I used to call him a hype job, because he was, but the guy has become a great fighter and still continues to improve. I may not like him but he beat Laura on points, which is another feat I didn't think he could pull off.

Tonight I learned that BOTH are a bit overrated. Good fighters with some talent but VERY BEATABLE. I think Carlos Molina and Demetrius Andrade beats them both and I think they do it fairly EASY. The only problem them would have against Canelo is getting judges that would actually score it fairly.
